'You have no idea what personal space is and it's really distracting when your face is two inches away from mine, what if I turn my head and accidentally kiss you'

~

Emma slammed her locker close, trying to balance her books in one arm and drinking her water with the other hand.

She had a shitty day. Literally. This morning her bus was late so she missed 20 minutes of her first class and had to listen to Professor Mills lecture about being late. Then she noticed she didn't pack a lunch and had to sit through three periods with a growling stomach and couldn't even text her friends because she also forgot her phone at home.

And no she wouldn't go to the school cafeteria because even if she wasn't one of these rich bitches who complain about everything, her day was bad enough already, she didn't want to get food poisoning too, thank you very much.

What a great day.

So now here she was, already grumpy and it wasn't even sixth period yet.

Suddenly there was something warm at her back and she didn't have to turn her head to know who that was.

"Hello, Swan," he greeted, helping her with some of her books. She immediately felt her arm relax a little bit and gave him a grin in return.

"Hey, Jones. What's up?"

"I'm currently trying to stay alive because I'm pretty sure Professor Gold will kill me when he finds out my essay isn't finished yet but anyway, how's your day?" He titled his head down a bit and she could feel his warm breath on her face. He's distracting her but she would never tell him that.

"Ehm, bad. Glad to know I'm not the only one who has a shitty day." If she turned her head just a tiny bit their lips would touch and she's not sure if she is ready to find out how soft his lips are.

Killian was her first real friend when she came to this school, cheering her up with his ridiculous self and adorable personality. And since that day they are best friends and practically inseparably.

And no she never thought that they could be more than friends. No, she never imagined what their children would look like and NO she never wrote the names of their imaginary children in her notebook when she should have listened to Professor Gold's boring history lecture about Napoleon.

Nope, she isn't that screwed.

Yet.

At least that's what she tells herself.

Killian looked into her eyes and she could see the way his eyes dropped down to her lips. And their faces were so close but she didn't know if-

Oh, fuck it.

She titled her head up and her lips found his in a soft yet deep kiss. The bell rang and students made their way to their classes but they were completely absorbed in their kiss.

She heard a few book clatter to the ground but ignored them, her arms encircled his neck and she raised herself onto her tiptoes to deepen the kiss. His hand at the small of her back pressed her more firmly into him and his other was in her hair, holding her softly in place. Neither of them wanted this to end.

And damn, he tasted of cinammon and cocoa.

But once the loss of Oxygen became a problem, their lips parted but their bodies stayed close.

Both breathless, the only sounds in the quiet hallway were their breaths.

She slowly opened her eyes and looked up. He was already looking at her and she noticed the small smirk on his face.

And no there was absoloutley no smile on her face after that.

And no, they didn't kiss again.

She was never good at lying anyway.

And later when they lay in his bed at his parents house, naked and basking in the afterglow, a thought came to her mind.

"You really don't know what personal space is, do you,Jones?"

"Only with you, love."
