"Daddy, I don't wanna go.", Liam pouted. It was his first day in school and he was scared. He just wanted to stay at home and play lego with his dad. Killian didn't want that Liam had to go to school because he thought that it was bad for him and that they could teach Liam at home but Emma just gave him a glare and said that he had to go to school.
"I know Liam but it will be alright. You will see, it will be fun.", Killian wasn't sure who he wanted to convince more. Him or Liam.
"But I would rather be at home and cuddle with you and mommy.", Liam bit his lip and he knew that was his fathers weakness. Just like the wide innocent eyes and this puppy look.
Killian was about to give in but Emma quickly cut in.
"Liam it will be fun. After that day you probally don't want to come home because you had so much fun here.",
Killian gave her a scared look.
What if his son really don't want to come home anymore? What if he dosn't like him anymor because he likes the other Killian kids much more. Emma saw his nervous stare and just gave him a reassuring smile that everything would be okay. Oh boy, now she had to calm two of her boys. Emma looked at her watch and smiled.
"Liam, it's time. I promise you everything is going to be fine.", Liam still looked unconvinced but put a brave look on. He embraced both of his parents altough Killian's embrace lasted longer. Liam smiled at them a last time before he walked bravely through the doors.
Emma smiled and wrapped and arm around Killian's waist and lay her head on his shoulder. She sensed that Killian was probally more nervous about this thing than Liam but tried to hold her laughter. It was a hard time for him to let his little sailor go to school but she found it adorable.
"You know, he will come back by the end of the day. They won't keep him forever and we will stand here and pick him up. And you will see his happy smile.", Killian smiled a little at the thought but it was quickly replaced by a frown.
"But what if he really dosn't want to come home? What if he dosn't like me anymore because these kids are better than me? Oh god I can't thing about it without starting to cry.", abd he was right there were tears starting to form in his eyes. Emma had to hold in her giggle.
"Killian I just wanted to convince him that school isn't so bad. He will still love you.", she smiled and in her own eyes were tears. Not because of the thought that Liam won't love them anymore but because she was so happy.
This was her happy ending. Altough it wasn't an end but it was just a beginning. With an overprotective
pirate husband and a six year old boy who was so loved by his parents.
This was her second chance at happines and Emma had every intention on taking it.
Killian noticed Emma's teary eyes and his eyes became wide with shock.
"Oh my god did I say something wrong?", Emma laughed and Killian was just confused witch made Emma laugh even more.
"No. Don't worry."
"Then why are you crying?", he said and Emma had to giggle at his
priceless face.
"I just realised that I found my happy ending. With you and Liam. And it is perfect. I wouldn't trade it for anything.", Killian smiled and leaned in to kiss her passionatly.
"I'm glad. Now how about we go home and I show you just how much I love you?", he grinned and Emma felt her knees weaken. She kissed him in response and they drove happily home.
( At the end of the day Killian fell to his knees as they picked up Liam and cried like a baby. Not that he would ever admit it. And Emma just smiled and watched her little family.)
