Katniss:
My first thought was,"Gale has a family?" I know this shouldn't bother me, but it does. Mainly because the few times that he actually wrote or called me, he never said anything about a wife, let alone three kids!
"Hi, my name is Gem, I'm Gale's wife," the woman says, she looks like she could be a merchant woman from the old district twelve, exept she has sea green eyes. "Hi, I'm Katniss, and this is Peeta." I wrap my arm around Peeta's waist. "Who are these little sweeties?" Peeta says. Gale points to the older girl, "This is Madge." He points to the younger girl, with long blonde hair in two braids, she reminds me of Prim, "This is Prim." I almost start to cry.
Then he walks over to Gem, who is holding the infant, "And this is Finnick." This does bring me to tears. I remember Finnick's death, how I dropped the holo. "I'm sorry," Gale says, " I thought I named him in honor." "You did," I say, " I just..." my voice trails off. "Hi," Madge says. "Hi" I say, and she starts talking to me about "How did I know her dad?"All the meanwhile I'm thinking, "Why did you name them after our dead friends and relatives?" Then it hit me, he felt guilty.
