ch.11

It's about a week later. I'm in the dinning hall with Ana,Miller and a bunch of others. Well I'm with the little kids. We are playing ball.

Monty comes in asking about Clarke. Come to think of it I haven't seen her all day.

I decide to investigate on my own.

I go to the living quarters. Maybe she found a friend and is with him. I find the President' s office I knock on the door.

I hear a faint come in. I open the door. The president and his son are looking over some paper work.

Dante looks up and smiles at me.

"Good news Athena." He looks at his son. "Cage will you give us a minute?"

His son nods and leaves.

I sit down.

"Have you seen Clarke?" I ask.

"Yes she's in medical cut her stitches." He says. He leans forwards. "Athena you have been following our rules. You've been taking your claustrophobia pill but you still have attacks."

It's not entirely true I've been throwing the pills down the toilet. I've had an attack everyday this week. But I nod in agreement.

"I like you Athena. You have a good head on your shoulders. Since you have been such a good citizen I am rewarding you."

I lean forward intrigued.

"We are letting you go outside." He says.

"What?!" I get up from my chair.

"Under supervision of course but yes we are allowing you to go outside for 15 minutes this afternoon."

I go over to him and thank him with a hug. He hugs me a little to long.

"Thank you so much I will see you this afternoon." I walk out of his office and back to the lounge area.

Soon two guards come up to me and lead me to a bunker like place. They suit up. We go through a small area.

They open a door. I see sunshine. I run to open the rest. I'm outside. I see the grass and the blue skies. It's amazing. I look over and see the guards are there with guns. Watching me. I go over to them, act like I'm going to hug them. Than I take the gun from one of them. The other points his gun at me. I do the same to the other. I have the gun I hit the one man with it and point it at the other.

"Now you're gonna let me go." I back up quickly into the trees, still pointed at the man.

When I'm far enough away I turn around and run. I don't know how far I run I just keep running. When I think I'm far enough away I slow. I take a minute to look where I am. I recognize it. It's the place right across from the river we were at when we first got here. I have to get to the other side. I go to the river. I can see the snake like thing in the water. I'm keeping down because of the grounders.

I hear something. I get down farther and get my gun ready.

"Who's there?" I hear a voice say. It sounds familiar. Bellamy.  I put my head up. I see him. He must see me because he lowers his gun. "Athena." He says. He runs towards me. I hug him.

"I thought I'd never see you again." I break the hug. "How many of us made it?"

"7 well now 6. We lost Sterling. Saving Mel." He motions to a girl in a sling. Monroe and Octavia is with him.

I hug Octavia. "Hey little princess." She smiles.

I break the hug and go over to bellamy again. "Um did axel make it?" I ask.

"He did. He made it." Bellamy says. I take a sigh of relief. "Where were you?"

"Mount weather. There are 48 of us left in there. Clarke included."I say.

His eyes flicker. Relief that she's alive.

"Lets get you home." Octavia says.

We start to walk back. We get back to not the drop ship, but a part of the ark.

They let us in. Than I see someone familiar. Clarke. She runs up and hugs bellamy.

Than sees me. "How'd you get out?" She asks.

"My claustrophobia. They let me out for a minute. Bad idea." I laugh.

She hugs me. "We have to get them out." She says.

I nod. She tells me about the grounders. They string them up and bleed them out.

I go to medical. Abby is in there.

"I saw your ship crash." I say.

"I wasn't on it. Neither was your father." She says.

"My dad is alive?" I ask. She nods. I'm so happy. "Where is he?"

"He went to settle things with the grounders." She says.

"Not a good idea." I say. "We are kind of at war."

"That's why we went." She says. "You look ok. Go. Byrne will take you to your dad's tent."

I nod getting off the bed. Byrne starts to lead me to the tent when I see a familiar face running towards me. Axel.  He scoops me up and spins me around.

"I thought you were dead." He says. He let's me down. Doesn't let go of me yet though. He has his hands on my waist.

"I'm here." I say. I hug him again. "I'll see you later. I'm really tired. "

"You rest. I'll talk to you tomorrow." He kisses my forehead. He than walks away. 

I go to my father's quarters and go to bed.
