Ch.5

We start to run. And run and run. Monty trips. We are trying to get him up. We look down and see bones.

"Who are they?" Octavia asks.

"What are they?" Clarke asks.

We hear a scream. Jasper.

"Jasper. He's alive." Clarke says she starts to run back to the water.  We don't see him. 

"No stay under the trees." Finn says grabbing Clark back

"No. Where is he?" Monty asks.

"They took him." She says. She sounds mortified.

We walk back to the drop ship.

When we get there we see wells and Murphy fighting. Clark breaks it up.

"Where's our food?" Bellamy asks.

"We didn't make it to mount weather."Finn says.

"Why?" Bellamy asks

"We were attacked." I say.

"Attacked by what?" He seems concerned now looming at his sister.

"Not what who." Finn says. "Apparently when the last person from the ground died on the ark. He wasn't the last grounder."

"But that means we can survive. The radiation won't kill us." Clark says.

"But the grounders will." Finn looms at Clark.

Wells looks around. "Where's the kid with the Goggles?" He asks. His breathing is shaky.

"Jasper was hit. They took him." Clark says. He looks at Wells. "Where's your wristband?"

He looks at bellamy. "Ask him."

I can't listen to this I lean on a tree and block it all out.

When I come to I hear bellamy says. "She's one of the privileged. She'll have it good. How many of you can say the same? That wristband on your arm. It makes you a prisoner. We are not prisoners anymore. They say they will forgive your crimes. I say you are not criminals. You're fighters, survivors! The grounders should worry about us."

Everyone scream 'Yeah'.

Clark walks away. I'm stuck there. Glued to that spot.

"Mini princess are you ok?" Someone asks. I look up to see Octavia.

I snap out of it.

"Yea I'm good. I don't like conflict. Never have." I admit.

"The ground is full of conflict Athena.  We are never gonna not have conflict." She says.

I hug her. "Thank you Octavia. Clark would never be like this."

"I'm not Clark." She smiles at me. "I've never had a little sister." 

"Non of us have. But id love to be your little sister." I say.

Bellamy comes over and looks at her wounds. Clark soon comes over.

"You guys leaving again? I'm coming with." Octavia tries  to get up.

"No no not again." Bellamy says 

"Yes right your leg will only slow is down. I came for you." She looks at bellamy. "I heard you had a gun."

Bellamy shows her it.

"Good come with me." She starts to walk away.

"And why would I do that?" Bellamy asks.

"Cause you want them to follow you and right now Theyre thinking only one of us is scared." She says.

He recruits Murphy and makes Atom watch Octavia.

Octavia tried to follow them but Atom blocks her.

"I'm gonna make your life a living hell." She says walking away. Well limping away. I follow her.
