A/N: so this is it. the final chapter of The Drummer's Daughter! I know I said I'd try make it longer but I'm writing it on my shitty phone so it will be kind of short. Anyway enjoy :D
~3 months later~
"Dad, please let me go on this tour," I begged.
"I don't want to risk what happened last time," Dad replied.
I gave him a look. "Then don't try to break Justin and me up again."
Dad hugged me. "You know I regret that right?"
I nodded.
"I'm just in denial about you growing up."
I chuckled. "Don't worry, so am I."
I started putting all my books back on my bookshelf when my phone vibrated.
"Let me guess," Dad smiled. "That's your prince charming now."
I shook my head.
From: Alex
can we talk?
I ignored it. I didn't want to think about that now. Not after what happened with his friends and Holly at his party.
"Why don't you just hear him out?" Dad suggested.
"Because I don't want to." I replied shortly. I found one of my old photo books from when Dad first adopted me and pulled it off the shelf with a smile.
"I remember that," Dad smiled.
I opened the book and a piece of paper fell out. I picked it up and saw that it was a letter.
Dear Ceneedra Electa Wood,
If you are reading this letter then I guess I didn't come back for you by your 16th birthday and I am really sorry about that. I couldn't raise you to be the wonderful young woman I know you will be today. Your father died in an accident they day I found out I was pregnant with you and I couldn't raise you on my own. I hope you aren't too mad at me. I do love you so much. I do hope to meet you one day and see how beautiful and smart you have. become. Please don't be afraid to look for me my beautiful baby girl. Love from,
Maria Johnson (your mother)
"Explain," I demanded of Dad.
He looked panicky. "I forgot about that."
