*CENEEDRA'S POV*
"Dad! I'm home!" I called out once I had walked home from school, well actually it was the lake.
"In the kitchen, Cen!" I heard dad call back. I made my way to the kitchen where I found dad standing with Uncle Vic, Jaime, Tony and...
"Austin!" I exclaimed jumping into the tall man's arms. I hadn't seen Austin in months. Stupid touring schedules.
"Hey little Squidgy," Austin laughed as he let me go.
"What? Are we invisible?" I heard Jaime mutter to the others.
"Shut up, Jaime," I laughed while flipping him off.
Dad threw a cookie at me. "No gestures like that around here." He warned me.
I rolled my eyes and turned back to Austin. "So what're you doing here, Carlile?"
"Thought I'd come and see you and help organize what's gonna happen with you for the tour." Austin replied.
"I don't mind as long as I get to go." I said.
All the guys looked at the ground.
"I am going right," I pressed looking at dad.
"You know we'd love for you to come right, squirt," Jaime began.
"But I can't because of school right?" I spat angrily.
"You'd miss out on too much, Cen," Dad told me. "And I want you to get good grades."
I groaned and stormed off to my room and slammed the door. I am aware that I was being a brat but I really wanted to go.
"Cen," Austin said softly as he walked into my room.
"What." I snapped.
"You know your Dad's just trying to do what's best for you, right?" Austin said, sitting down on my bed.
"No he's not," I replied. "He's only doing this because people have said he's an irresponsible parent. I heard him the other night."
"Ok, well, I'm not going to pretend I know what's going on, but you need to give your Dad a break." Austin told me. "This isn't easy for him either."
"Whatever." I mumbled before picking up Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
Austin knew that meant I was finished talking and left my room.
After an hour, I snuck down to the kitchen to grab some food. Well, I tried to sneak down.
"What are you doing?" Dad questioned me.
"Getting food." I replied cooly.
"Can we talk?"
"I'd rather not."
"Cen," Dad sighed. "I was thinking that maybe you could come for a little but before coming back home so you don't miss out on too much school."
I looked at him skeptically. "How long's a little?"
"One or two weeks," Dad said.
I had been hoping for more, but I had to admit that it was better than nothing.
"Maybe," I told Dad. "Let me think about it, yeah?"
