Matt's POV
What will be Dakota's answer?

I heard her. She cleared her throat, it seems like she's gonna say something now.

And suddenly...

"Hmmm. Yes? I think. Just be sure. Please don't ever hurt me again. Just please.", she said while giving the trust back to me.

Those words...

I just can't express my happiness this time! She just let me have the second chance!

I hugged her as tight as I can. I moved closer to her. As close as possible...

"Dakota...", I whispered.
"Yes Matt?", she said in a peaceful tone while looking at me, smiling.
"Thank you so much and I love you.", I said.

I want to take her to the most special place I know. In my mom's house...

"Kota? Will you come with me?", I asked.
"Where?", she said.
"In a special place. I know you'll like it.", I said
"A-a special place?", she said as her eyes widened cuz of excitement.
"Yes, a special place for a special person like you.", I said with a hint of happiness.
"Of course, I will.", she said while clapping her hands.

I opened the door for her and she locked it and left a note saying "Mom, I left the house, I'll be back later. -Dakota"

After that, I opened my car's door for her. She seated behind the driver's seat.

We started traveling. We started talking about special things. Today is for things and people that are special.

Dakota's POV
Things have been so good for the past few weeks/months. My mom finally cares about me, also my dad. Then I met a great friend, Jamie. And here's Matt again. I'm just wondering where will he take me? I just can't hide the excitement that I am feeling right now. This is so unbelievable. I'm just really hoping Matt has totally changed into a new leaf. Well... Maybe? I can see his determination and effort. I can sense the eagerness and sincerity. But, I don't know, there's something I am still doubting.

"Matt, are we almost there?", I asked curiously.
"Almost...", he said with an energetic tone.

I just smiled at him after that.

A few minutes have passed, we already arrived at a house that's so unfamiliar. I've never been here. I didn't see this, never nor once in my life time. It's so beautiful and attractive.

"Matt, is this a new house of yours?", I asked.
"Uh no. No, it's my mom's...", he said while smiling.
"Uhuh, b-but you never told me about this. And you never introduced me to your parents.", I said confusingly.
"Shhh. This time, I will. That's why we're here. I want her to know that I'll be courting you again and I will love you and prove to you that I really deserve the second chance.", he shared.
"Hmmm.", I murmured.

We enter the house as he opens the door for me to get inside first. Then he followed.

The ambiance inside the house is just so perfect. The wall designs and its color are so simple. The furnitures are obviously expensive looking.

I'm so nervous. It's my first time seeing his mom. I don't know what will happen. Will she accept me?
