ONE MONTH LATER
Dakota's POV
The time has come, this is our wedding day. All things are set, so are the people. My dad is here and he's talking with my mom, my sister and brothers and my aunts and uncles. Jamie's family also attended, we are all complete. Now, I'm preparing myself before I walk in the aisle in 10 minutes.
"Dakota, are you nervous?", my stylist asked.
"Nope. I'm really really excited. I still can't believe that I'm gonna marry the man of my dreams.", I said with a joyful tone.
Minutes have gone by and it's the time for me to show up in front of my families.
The door opened and my handsome man was revealed, standing on the altar. I wanna cry but I don't want to ruin this moment.
The wedding song played as I started walking slowly through the aisle of the church, my mom and dad reached for my arms to guide me towards the altar. I am so happy to be here with my loved ones. I am so happy to celebrate and have this memorable moment with all of them. I'm stepping on a long red carpet which I love. I can see smiles on the faces of the people, especially my mom, my dad and my favorite sister and I cherish this moment as I bid goodbye to my single and old life. I am now walking to reach my dream and to reach the new chapter of my life. A story where Jamie and I are the authors.
We already reached the altar as my mom and dad whispered in unison, "I love you Dakota." They are both crying and it seems really sweet because I can see that they're really happy for me even though this means letting go of me as their little girl.
Jamie gently signaled his arms and guide me to face the Priest.
"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today for the wedding ceremony of Jamie and Dakota.", the Priest started. "You may now proceed to your vows.", he added.
"I believe in you, the person you will grow to be and the couple we will be together. With my whole heart, I take you as my husband, acknowledging and accepting your faults and strengths, as you do mine. I promise to be faithful and supportive and to always make our family's love and happiness my priority. I will be yours in plenty and in want, in sickness and in health, in failure and in triumph. I will dream with you, celebrate with you, and walk beside you through whatever our lives may bring. You are my person—my love and my life, today and always.", I said as I let out the tears of joy I have in me.
“Today I affirm my love for you, and vow to share my life with you in everything—to respect and love you. You are the most generous person I have ever known—kind, honest, and beautiful. I take you to be my wife, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health. From this day forward you shall be first in my heart and our souls shall be together as one.”, Jamie said with a huge smile on his face which shows excitement and pride.
I was so touched by his romantic and real message. I can't handle the happiness I am feeling right now.
The ring bearer gave us the rings and we started exchanging rings as we say "With this ring I thee wed."
"I now pronounce you, husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride.", the Priest said.
Jamie slowly and passionately kissed me for several seconds and we pulled away as it is the time for throwing the bouquet.
I turned around and threw it backwards. Stella got it!
"You're next sis!", I joked and she just laughed.
It's now time for the closing prayer to seal our wedding ceremony. We all closed our eyes and bowed our heads.
"Gracious God, our hearts are filled with great happiness on this the wedding day of Dakota and Jamie. They come before you, pledging their lives and their hearts to one another. Bless their wedding day, we pray, and walk beside them, through all their life together.", the Priest said as he closed our wedding ceremony with a prayer.
"Amen.", we all said in unison.
"Okay, picture taking!", my mom yelled.
We all took pictures as a remembrance. This is the day I will never forget. I can't believe I just married Jamie. My mind flashes back through the memories when we first met. At the caffé. The destiny just want us to be together so it decided to snap us onto each other... up to the days he's helping me to get through my shits in life and of course, the jealous times, and the sex! Oh my lord. And of course, this amazing wedding of ours. I'm so emotional at the moment.
The picture taking was finished and we all decided to eat the prepared foods. Everyone's enjoying each bites, I bet they can feel the love.
As the day ended, we bid goodbye to our families because we decided to fly for our honeymoon. It's set in France, it'll last for 1 week.
