I walked into the area which held the cage. The walls, the door, the steps, all made of metal. It's insanely shiney, I can tell you that right now. I looked over at the technology, at the touch screens and what not, and then at Loki. He was watching me the entire time like I was some new goddamn foreign species. What the fuck is his deal? It was like he was undressing me... in his mind. I shuddered and grabbed a chair, trailing it behind me. I set it up right in front of him, and sat down.
"Hiya." I began, giving him a small smile. My eyes though, told him to go fuck off. He crossed his arms and walked towards me, as close as possible, and smiled back.
"You are..." He cocked his eyebrow.
"India Rogers, Loki. Call me Indi." I said indifferently. He nodded and stared into my eyes. Ehhh, it was like he was staring into my soul. Creeper.
"The soldier's daughter, yes?" He asked, intrigued.
"In the flesh." I grinned. He pursed his lips and examined me from head to toe.
"What are your powers?" He suddenly questioned.
"They're hard to explain... wanna talk about it over lunch? What do you want, I can bring it in your cage... which was mine, by the way. So thanks for stealing." I said sarcastically. I'll give him a chance to explain why he's so evil, I don't know his story so I can't fully judge him. He smiled, I think it was genuine... point for me! I made the bad guy actually smile!
"A sandwhich might be nice... I normally detest mortal food, but I can give it a try." He offered. I nodded and headed to the food court, leaving him to his thoughts.
"Hey junior." Tony called, grabbing a bag of blueberries from the fridge. I rolled my eyes and got two trays- one for Loki, one for me.
"Hey Tony," Douche, I thought.
"What are you working on right now?" I asked, grabbing a chicken caesar salad, a ham sandwhich, two waters, and two granny smith's.
"Tracking down the Tesseract, going through secret files, the usual." He threw out nonchalantly.
"Nice work. Um, weird question, but can you teach me how to fly?" I grabbed a fork and ranch dressing for myself (I hated caesar salad dressing, it tasted like garbage and anchovies.) Tony turned around and crossed his arms, leaning against the wall.
"Show me what you can do." He said as he stepped back. I put the trays down, jumped and felt a rush of fire go through me, from my palms and feet. I was floating now, but after a couple of seconds my powers faultered and I fell to the floor. Crap, that hurt!
"I got you, newbie," He grunted, helping me up. I dusted myself off, fixed my shirt, and looked at him.
"...It can be arranged. I have a tight schedule, Loki and the God of Thunder and all, so I'll see what I can do. Try to not have any plans for tonight though, I might have an opening." He said haughtily. I rolled my eyes and lightly punched him in the shoulder. He stumbled back and held on to a chair to stop himself from falling. Tony chuckled and stood upright.
"I like you better than your father. You're more..." He thought, gazing up into space. I laughed, grabbing my trays and backing away.
"Amazing?" I suggested.
"Yes! That's it." He pointed, then threw a blueberry up into the air. He caught it in his mouth and bowed like it was some sort of awe-inspiring achievement. I laughed again, then exited out and teleported to Loki's cage. And when I mean Loki's cage, I mean inside his cage. What could he do? Really, without that scepter thing, he's nada.
