Monday starts off normal for Chan. Well, as normal as a Monday morning can be, because Chan has a rather interesting life. He calls Changbin at two am to hear his best friend coughing and sounding like a dying elephant, and finds out that Changbin has developed a cold in the course of two days.
Deciding that he'd visit Changbin later---and probably bring Felix along just for the heck of it---he hangs up the phone and wonders how he's gonna go through the morning without the younger by his side. Changbin almost never gets sick, atleast during the time that Chan has known him, so going without him to school felt kind of strange.
Whatever, Chan thinks. He decides to use the shower before his little sister wakes up and takes up an hour in the bathroom doing her makeup or something. He can never know. Girls can be so confusing at times.
Taking the bus to school, his phone gets spammed at least ten times with texts that his band members---his friends---send. As he boards off the bus, he wonders if they don't have anything better to do than to send memes and Vine related gifs on a Monday morning.
"Hey," Someone suddenly says, and Chan gets scared out of his skin. So that must be how Changbin feels, the blue haired male realizes. Still gonna keep on doing it though, he concludes.
"Sorry." Chan feels surprised to see Woojin walking side by side next to him. This surprise is soon replaced by annoyance as he furrows his eyebrows.
"What do you want?" Chan asks, stopping for a while to take out his earphones from his bag. Woojin stops too, annoying him further.
"Where's Changbin?" Woojin asks instead, avoiding Chan's question.
"He's sick," Chan says, finally retrieving the earphones. Due to him coming a bit earlier than usual (since he doesn't have to crash at Changbin's house as usual to play a brief game of Call of Duty), he has time to spare.
"Oh, okay." Woojin keeps on following Chan, and the younger of the two gets slightly creeped out.
"Hey, Kim. Why are you following me?" Chan asks, genuinely confused. Confusion is something that he can greatly do without, especially on a Monday morning when his brain is too mushy to stress about anything.
Woojin smirks, and Chan wants to freaking smack it off. "So I can't follow you now?"
Chan sighs, feeling like a tired mother about to give their child the 'birds and the bees' talk. "No, you can't. We aren't friends. I don't wanna talk to you, so leave me alone."
Woojin narrows his eyes. "You're being kinda rude, you know."
"Says someone whose literal role is to be rude," Chan says. "I wanna listen to my music in peace, so I can have more inspiration to make more songs, and I don't need any distractions." He faces Woojin and gives a sarcastic wave. "So buh bye."

Woojin decides to seat beside Chan in all classes before and after lunch, and Chan, though mildly agitated, can't say anything because people can seat anywhere these days and it's either Woojin or that weird girl at the back who picks at her teeth 24/7.
The younger male can pretend that Woojin isn't beside him, because the latter's so quiet it's almost like he's a ghost, but it's kind of hard to do since Chan can't simply ignore his presence.
"Hey," Woojin says after lunch as they're seated in (admittedly Chan's best class) English class. "I heard the school is holding a 'Battle of the Bands' show like a month from now."
