The world was a slow, blurry movie playing as if she were watching it from a distance. Audio faded and distant, quality poor and dim, projector fading in and out. Then it felt as if she were very slowly falling, but she couldn't control it....the world tilting and twisting, making her sick to her stomach....
That is until her eyes finally shot open and she sat up, breathing rapidly. It took a moment for the mare to comprehend what was going on. She sat against a wall, barely stable, wobbly and fragile.
Tsuki looked left and right. Her eyes widened, heart racing, head throbbing insanely. After inhaling shakily and letting it out a few times, she finally gained the courage to stand up, slowly at first as to not topple over. Her hoof was sore, but her head and back hurt immensely.
She stood and looked around, still breathing rather rapidly, inhaling shakily and slow, then letting it out quickly. She felt very uneasy, as if she were a rabbit standing in a field, foxes hiding in the tall grass.
Tsuki squeezed her eyes shut for a moment to block out the pain in her head...then her hoof gave out beneath her and she fell to the ground-
Only to be stopped by a pair of hooves.
She opened her eyes slowly and fearfully, trembling as she forced herself to look up. Instead of seeing a dark and bloodstained mask, she saw a friendly, worried gaze.
It was a stallion with very vibrant cobalt fur and a dark brown, hickory mane. He had deep, lilac eyes and a light grey scarf wrapped tightly around his neck.
"Are you alright?" He asked, worriedly. Tsuki could only nod as she was pulled up.
"What's your name?" The stranger asked.
"Uh...T-Tsuki...." she responded, quietly.
"Well, I'm Max Volt," He elaborated, "But you can call me Winter."
The stallion shuffled through his bag that was dangling loosely from his side, his wings (which Tsuki just so happened to notice) outstretched. He gave her a water bottle.
"Here, drink. Then tell me what happened."
Tsuki drank gratefully, thankful for the stranger's kindness, and perplexed by his interest in her well-being. It wasn't until after that, she could finally remember what had happened. She suddenly gasped after finishing the whole water bottle.
"I-I need to save Stormy! She's in danger!" She suddenly exclaimed, hysterically. Tsuki turned to Winter, grabbing him far more harshly then she had meant. "Please! Please help me! She...she..." The unicorn began tearing up but shook her head and wiped her tears.
"Please, w-we need to save my..friend. She's been kidnapped and..I don't know if I can do it on my own! I-I...I know we just met but please help me! I don't know what to do..I just-I.." she paced this way and that, much like her usual anxious self, stumbling a few times, and ranting nonstop.
Winter just watched calmly, cocking an eyebrow.
"Alright, alright. Listen. I'll help you save her. But you need to explain how this happened, and where she is." He digressed, sticking a hoof out to stop her in her tracks. She sighed, then briefly explained how their friend had turned on them and how Stormy could be....badly injured, in her own words.
Winter nodded as he listened patiently.
She finally finished, slightly in tears.
"Alright. Do you know your way around Tiger's house?"
"Yeah..." Tsuki paused, glancing at Winter for a moment, then she quickly leaned in and gave him a hug. "I am so glad I found you."
Winter returned the hug and forced a smile at her, then the two went on their way (no time to loose) to save Stormy.
