Azure striker gunvolt: the Returning striker

Into the thick of it

As the sun rose the next day Gunvolt was awoken from his sleep when his phone starts ringing. As he answers he finds out that the person was Copen. "Hey" Gunvolt said groggy

"Don't hey me adept when are you coming!" Copen shouted catching Gunvolt of guard " jeez would it kill you to take things slow i just woke up and it's 5AM in the morning." he said

"time is not a luxury we can afford right now may i remind you that we are on a strict time limit!" copen said.

"Ok ok ill be there just give me a few minutes" gunvolt said "fine ill see you shortly" said copen before hanging up. "God that's the last time ill ever give copen my number" gunvolt said as he got ready to head over to copens house.

A few minutes later...

"Copen im here" gunvot said knocking on the door only for nora to answer.

"oh your here please come inside copen will be with you shortly" she said

"ok thank you" gunvolt said as he entered the house and sat down in the livingroom he didn't have to wait for long as the adept hunter and the girls came downstairs.

"Hey guys" gunvolt said "

morning GV" mytyl said

"took you long enough" copen said strictly "now we have no time to waste i found out where we're headed first and that's the forbidden forest the disappearance rates have been reaching alarming numbers. me and you will break in and take on the sniper adept" copen said

"Ok then you can take lead for this mission i trust you know what your doing " gunvolt said.

"Trust us your in good hands " Lola said

"now lets get moving we don't have alot of time"Copen said

"Fine then" Gunvolt said

A few moments later Into the forest

"Are you sure this is the right way" Gunvolt asked

"Yea it shouldn't be far now" as copen said that they saw a clearing leading to the center of the forbidden forest revealing the base.

"So this is the base you'd think it would be better guarded" gunvolt said

"Yea your right i don't sense anyone" Lola said

"Well i guess this could prove to be an easy job for us but we should still keep our guards up" Copen said.

But before Gunvolt could say anything he heard a faint voice.

"Be....ca.....ful....GV." The voice said but the adept had a hard time making it out.

"What was that" Gunvolt thought

"Gunvolt are you ready" Copen said snapping him out of his trance.

"Huh R-right let's go" gunvolt said as the two entered the base.

As they reached the entrance of base there was nothing but darkness.

"Lola can you provide some light for us?" Copen asked.

"Sure thing boss" Lola said using one of her pods like a flashlight lighting the way for them.

As they got deeper into the base they noticed that the area was covered in vines and moss.

"This place has been abandoned for quite a while." Lola said

"I know it just makes me wonder what kind of adept would find this place useful?" Copen said

As they continued Lola began to sense something was wrong.

"Um Boss something doesn't feel right" she said

"what's wrong Lola?" Copen asked

"It's the plant life it feels......alive" Lola responded

"Huh how so" Gunvolt asked but before she could respond vines grabbed him by his legs and held him upside down. (Don't even think about it :/)

"Gunvolt are you okay?" Copen asked

"Yea I'm fine mind helping me down? I dropped my gun." He asked

Copen then sighed " I'm beginning to regret this alliance" he said pulling his gun out but before he could even take aim two shots were heading their way causing Copen to jump away as Gunvolt shifts his body so that the bullet misses his head.

"Show yourself!" Copen demanded pointing his gun at the source of the shots but when Lola directed her light down the hall there was no one there.

Gunvolt then noticed the adept behind him

"COPEN BEHIND YOU!!!" Gunvolt said causing him to turn around very quickly but was struck in the stomach by the adept.

"Copen!!" Lola yelled as she flew towards Copen to apply emergency aid only to have vines rapped around her.

"Wait but aren't you a master sniper?" Gunvolt said

"Yep I'm the one and only Yuna." She said

But then how are you able to manipulate wild life like that.

"Thanks to this handy thing." She says taking out her s.sphere "turns out you can copy and paste septima from adept to adept with this".

"Great" Gunvolt said sarcastically.
