Azure striker gunvolt: the Returning striker

Like clockwork (part2)

Gunvolt and copen made it inside of the clock tower only to be surrounded by Eclipse troops. "Stand down Gunvolt and Copen you're surrounded and trapped with us." One of them stated.

This made Gunvolt and copen laugh to themselves for a bit until regaining their composure. "Clearly these guys haven't been briefed about sumeragi or eden" Copen said smugly. "Of course Or else they would've been more careful with how they approached Us". Gunvolt replies just as smugly.

"Hey are you listening to us you guys-" the soilder said but was suddenly shocked by Gunvolt sending the soldier flying into another wall.

After that it didn't take long for Gunvolt and Copen to defeat the rest of the Eclipse soldiers and started to make their way up the clock tower.

As Gunvolt was running behind Copen he heard something crashing above them.

"COPEN LOOK OUT!" Gunvolt said alerting him to the falling gear above him and he managed to dodge it just in time.

"We can't let our guard down for a second you okay Copen" Lola said

"Yeah I'm alright now thanks Lola and thank you too Gunvolt for alerting me" Copen said surprising Gunvolt.

"Wow you really have changed..." Gunvolt called out.

"Huh how so?"Copen asked "you Copen the adept hunter are thanking an adept the old you wouldn't have done that." Gunvolt explained

"Yeah well I told you I'm trying to change for my sister's and Lola's sake that's all now let's finish this adept and get home" Copen said rather blankly while heading up the stairs.

As they approached the door they got their weapons ready as they nodded before kicking the door open. But they were shocked by what they saw.

The only thing in this large room was Nero sitting at his desk as if he was waiting for them. "Hello my new guests welcome" He said.

"You know what we're here for and you also know that we won't be leaving without it." Copen said

"I don't see why you're trying to stop us i mean you're gonna be apart of a new world no more discrimination no more having to hide why would you stop that?" Nero said swinging his pocket watch in his hand.

"This plan has too many holes in it you don't understand that people are most Likely going to die instead of becoming adepts." Gunvolt explained

"Oh well who cares all that matters is that the masters plan is complete regardless of what we have to do. If it cost human lives so be it..." Nero said and In a flash he appeared behind Copen and Gunvolt with knife in hand ready to cut them.

Fortunately they were both prepared for an attack from behind and dodged accordingly.

"Hmm it seems that killing you two will require more work than what I thought no matter!" Nero said as he held his watch close to him.

"Copen Gunvolt look out!" Joule and Lola said simultaneously

TIME PARADOX!

I'm a flash Gunvolt and copen we're both frozen in time forced to do nothing as Nero began attacking them by throwing two knifes at Gunvolt then another knife at copen then dropping a a time slow area in between the two of them

Copen and Gunvolt could only stand there.....only to realize that nothing was really hurting them.

"This attack is only showing us what he's doing why" Gunvolt asked confused about what's going on.

"It seems that he plans on attacking us in this order when time continues we need to be ready!" Copen said.

Shortly after time released both got ready for the attack only to be caught off guard when Nero realeased the Time freeze zone first. This slowed their movement when Nero followed up with his knife throws striking Gunvolt in his left arm and barely cutting his cheek! Finally followed by Copen
Getting stabbed in his side.

"Huh you two look surprised? it's only natural you thought the order that you saw was what I was going to do. Well your not wrong but that's the beauty of Time Paradox. I choose what order my attack comes in. This way I can fight and keep you both guessing on how to dodge me!" Nero explained

After the barrage of attacks Gunvolt and Copen didn't know what to do and their wounds weren't helping.

"Now let's see if you can survive this" Nero said as he continued his attack. Every time copen and Gunvolt are shown the pattern they would try to dodge only for the order of attacks to change thus damaging them even further. But on the last one Gunvolt noticed something. 

"You two are awfully resilient I thought the shadow knives I borrowed from shade would finish the job rather quickly." Nero said surprised that they lasted this long.

"Copen I have a plan." Gunvolt said weakly from his wounds.

"Yeah What is it?" Copen asked while taking the knife out of him and have Lola use first aid. Afterwards Gunvolt mouthed the plan which Copen caught on and they both got up and Closed their eyes ready for the next barrage of attacks.

"Why close your eyes the only thing that changes is the fact that you won't be able to see your death coming!" Nero said cockily

Nero stopped time one last time and threw the knife aiming at Gunvolt's heart first this time followed by two more knifes in the back of copens head and finally a Time slow field focused on Gunvolt.

Sensing the attack coming Gunvolt dodged the field first and Copen dodged the knife followed by Gunvolt barely dodging the second one

"H-how?! I was hoping to psych you out by shuffling the order again" Nero said shocked

"We know, your time paradox is very handy for catching us off guard but it has a weakness." Copen said.

"And what's that?!" Nero said

"It's sound!" Gunvolt said

"Time Paradox only shows us what will happen but because of it we rely on our eyes too much, so to fix it we chose to rely on the sound that time paradox lacked" Copen explained.

"You planned on killing us with that last attack that means that you're outta energy at the moment!" Gunvolt pointed out.

"So this leaves us with the perfect opportunity" Copen said Preping his pods.

"N-no!" Nero said defeated

As they said that Gunvolt's chains protruded throughout the entire room trapping Nero followed by Copen cutting the chains to ribbons but since the chains served as a cable the electricity stored created a static explosion engulfing Nero.

When the explosion ended all that was left was the s.sphere that soon shattered.

"Mission.....complete" Copen said in between breaths.

"Yeah now the people should be free from the time freeze" Gunvolt said

"Good job you two" Lola said

"Yeah let's go home for today" Joule said

The two nodded and headed home but while leaving a figure holding onto a katana watches them leave.

"It seems that they have taken two of them down impressive I'll have to keep an eye on them" the figure says before leaving.
