My favorite song plays over the radio as I drive toward my destination.
Rise up and celebrate your life
We're not alone in our ritual
Sing for what you feel inside
Becoming one with our ritual
Singing songs of the old days
Try to remember what's gone by
Stronger in new ways
Don't care what they say,
This is your life
It's time to rejoice
Rise up and celebrate your life
We're not alone in our ritual
Sing for what you feel inside
Becoming one with our ritual
Our destiny is what we learned
Together wanting something more
Their misery and demons burn
A feeling that's worth fighting for
Rise up and celebrate your life
We're not alone in our ritual
Sing for what you feel inside
Becoming one with our ritual
Rise up and celebrate your life
We're not alone in our ritual
Sing for what you feel inside
Becoming one with our ritual
Becoming one with our ritual...
The song ends as I pull into Barbara's driveway. Her house is nice it has 2 stories and lots of windows like expensive houses do then I see her at one of the windows waving me in. Once I open the door i'm greeted by a hug.
"Hey Wren did you remeber the stuff?"
"yup its in my gym bag in my car. Why'd did I need to bring it?"
"Well Dick invited us over to use his really expensive nice gym"
"Oh.."
"Yeah so lets go!"
We jump in my car since its right there then we drive to Dick's house. When we get there we knock on the door and are greeted by an old man
"hello miss Barbara and you must be miss Wren"
"yeah--"
"Dick told me you guys were coming you may head down to the locker room I trust you remember how to get there miss Barbara and can show miss Wren"
"Yeah I can" she starts to walk away "see you later Alfred" she waves as she leads me through the big house.
~~..~~..~~
"Run faster!" Dick yells at me "You can beat her!" I add a burst of momentum to my first pace and cross the line. I bend over and place my hands on my knees completely out of breath.
"Oh my God Wren your fast!" Barbara says out of breath also
"Oh thanks" I reply
"Wren I knew you could do it!" Dick says excitedly
