Amythest wanted to have a change of pace and try to change her mind set on life and try to uplift her spirits doing things to keep her busy at all times. So she agreed to babysit her cousin Tia on weekends while her Aunt had to work nights. Tia and Amythest hardly talked and mostly did their own thing, however there would be rare occasions where they would sit down and have a real heart to heart talk and talk what's really on their mind. Amythest didn't mind babysitting since gave her space away from home however her safeplace didn't last for long. On the day Amythest had to return home her aunt was off that day but didn't feel like taking her home and decided to call a friend instead to take her. Eric shows up to say hello to her aunt then grabs Amythest things helping her to the car, Amythest looks at her aunt offering to stay an extra night if she's too tired and could go home in the morning but her aunt wouldn't listen. Amythest knew something was off about Eric nor wanted to be alone in the car with him. He opens the door for her in his old fashion truck and once he closed the door and gets in she scoots closer to the door and reaches for the seatbelt to notice he didn't have any.
He starts the car and strikes up a conversation with her to ease the tension. Once on the highway he started moving his hands on her legs and she quickly stops him but he puts alot of pressure on it and gives her a look that brought fear to her eyes telling her she better not say anything. He starts rubbing his hands up and down feeling and grabbing her breast and squeezing it while driving then when on the streets since there would be hardly any cars on stop lights he tries kissing her on the lips but she would turn her face and he'd kiss her neck instead. She finally saw she was getting closer to home and was happy but he pulls up to a park and turns the truck off and grabs her fondling her forcefully while she tries to pull away. She reaches for the car door to open it to find out that the car can only be open from the outside on the passengers side. He smirks seeing her trying slaps her breast and turns the car back on as she stares forward as tears fall down her eyes. He finally drives her home and opens the passenger door for her she power walks to the door but he quickly follows behind as she opens the door walking letting himself in. luckily her brother and mother was in the living room which she quickly ran to a spot away from them and to be away from him. She didn't feel safe enough to go to sleep even though she was exhausted but she couldn't until he was gone. Her eyes started to slowly close but when she saw him walk close to her she quickly opened her eyes and pulled away and leaned up as her family giggled at her. He finally leaves and once the door was locked she gets up and goes to room and lays down on her bed with her favorite bunny Emily.
Amythest slowly stopped babysitting her cousin afterwards and only did if she herself knew someone she trusted was taking her home. She slowly closed up and stopped speaking to everything and the only time she would was giving advises anonymous on blogs and her secret advice column. As the days went by Amythest never got better but only worse and the following summer her friend Roy wanted to hangout and so she went to his place (Roy was a childhood friend and they knew each others families) and saw his mom and said hello to her and Roy wanted to walk to the old high school before she moved away from there to a new one. Amythest agrees and walks the path they use to take a few years back going to middle school and her one year of high school in that area. Walking through the streetway she remembers the fun times they had and they giggle and talk about the memories. When she sees the school it brings tears to her eyes missing her friends and hate that they all lost connection the moment she moved away. As walking home back to his place he wanted to take the shortcut which was through the woods (a shortcut often taken when they was in middle school) she shrugs and walks throught the short woods but as she reaches the fence he pins her on there and starts feeling on her and she quickly pushes him off hard and runs off reaching the broken part of the fence climbing over and running to the car her brother was supposed to meet her at who was there talking to his friends. Amythest gets in the car saying she will wait till he's ready to go and just listen to music. She turns on the radio to listen to music to try and stop her hands, her body, and her mind from shaking and falling apart. After an hour and her calming her breathing her brother finally gets in the car and drives them home.
Once home Amythest goes to her room feeling broken and torn and tired of feeling used she turned to the only thing she felt could help her ease the pain. She reaches out for a razor making scars on her left wrist one after another as she watches the blood slowly fall down her arm. She takes a couple night pills and closes her eyes. When she wakes up she started wearing long sleeves regardless of the weather so that she could use her razor without nobody judging her for her imperfections from what they wanted was a perfect girl. As Time flew by Amythest slowly shuts down not letting hardly anybody in her life and when they was in her life she careful and kept a safe distance. Amythest eventually healed from Kyle ready to begin all over again and try life once more. She didn't know what could make her happy except singing which has always been her passion since age 5. She also used singing to get out her emotions she couldn't speak of or talk about, it was her only way of communicating though others saw it as just singing. One day while playing with Nelly she receives a text from Kyle saying was she free to talk, she was unsure to even answer and was scared to after how things ended last time and she didn't want to go down that road all over again.
She knew she couldn't stay mad at him because she knew she deserved it for how bad she had hurt him first. She tells him that she is free and to call whenever he wants to, which didn't take him long at all. After talking and alot of apologizing they decided to remain only friends because they missed each other and the happy times they had. He told her he only could see her as his sister and she said that she only saw him as her brother, though she did had minor feelings for him but just having him around as a friend was enough for her. Though they were no longer a couple things went back to how they was as friends with a lot of days full of laughter and smiles and they would push each other knowing each others weakness helping the other to grow. They caught up on each others lives and wanted the latest details on what was happening. Kyle was upset when he found out what happened to her and was even more upset to find out that she didn't tell anybody about it. Amythest explains how she knows that they would never believe her so she don't want to waste her time or hope in telling something so degrading that happened. He agrees to let it go but only if she would start telling him when things like this happened. She agrees hoping it would never honestly have to come to that ever again anyway
