Your POV

I hurried outside, blocking out the monsters dancing around me and broke into a run, entering the forest.

I didn't know where I was going, but wanted to be alone to think.

After about six minutes of running, I made it to the same spot Sans took me to when he wanted me to dance the fear away.

I stared at the spot, smiling a little. So that was how you got here. Run aimlessly with your arms flailing around and your hair whipping your face so you can't see anything.

I sat by a bare tree, watching the frozen pond. It was actually really peaceful here.

I ran my hand through my hair, taking a deep breath.

Sans basically straight up said that he didn't trust me, which really hurt.

I mean, of all people, anyone could probably trust someone like me, right?

I guess not.

Suddenly a branch cracked behind me. I didn't swing around, because this was so familiar that I didn't even have to look anymore. "What, Sans?"

Someone sat beside me, and a blue hoodie was in the corner of my vision.

"why are you here?" he asked.

"I feel depressed," I responded, tucking my chin in the palm of my hand, my elbow resting on my knee. "And you?"

"same, i guess."

"So, you don't trust me?" I decided to just tell him why I was sad, so I can make him feel guilty. I didn't know why, I just liked people to feel that way. It just gave me more control over them.

Okay, now I'm starting to sound creepy, but it's kind of true.

He shifted beside me awkwardly. "i kinda did say that, didn't i?" he sighed.

"Pretty much."

Sans set his bony hand on mine, and my face absentmindedly went pink. "i'm sorry... i do trust you. i guess i meant that i didn't know if i could trust frisk anymore."

"Oh. Okay," I said, a little bit reassured.

"here, i have something that can take your mind off of it."

He took out his phone, and I suddenly heard music playing. (A/N: It's the song above! You can play it now if you want.)

"Crap, are you serious?" I almost screamed, starting to hyperventilate.

"just shut up, i know you can dance. just feel the music, and forget your fear." He pulled on my arm and hauled me upwards as well as himself.

"But what if--"

"i'll be here to protect you," he assured me. "come on."

He tapped his feet to the rhythm of the song and motioned for me to do something. "i know that you know hip hop. c'mon, it's fun."

I was lost in the song, because I was certain I've heard it before. "What can I do for you?" I sang, knowing the lyrics.

Sans looked surprised, but then grinned and sang along with me. "What can I do that no one else can do?" we sang.

He took my hand and nodded, keeping his excited expression on his face.

"What can I do for you?"

"What can I do for you?"

I was so entranced in following the lyrics perfectly to the song that once again, I was distracted.

I was dancing in sync with Sans, not actually doing too bad.

"Skeleton, you are so much fun." I took Rose's solo, since Sans didn't look too intent on singing the female part. Although, he turned blue at my voice.

"I hadn't planned on finding you quite this entertaining."

"I like your dance, and I like your song."

"I like the way that you monsters play."

Sans raised my hand above my head and spun me around. "I like playing along, who-o-o-o-oa."

I was actually feeling more comfortable dancing. My fear was... dissipating.

I let go of him, stopping singing. "Crap, why do I feel like this?"

"l-like what?" he asked, tilting his head. His cheekbones were a little blue.

"I feel... more comfortable with this. How... how do you do that?" I whispered, loud enough for Sans to hear.

"because..." He stopped, his mouth open but no words coming out. "oh gosh, i have no idea..." he said after a few seconds.

He paused the music on his phone.

Then it struck me.

Joder. I like him.
