(A/N: Oh my flipping stars, y'all are insane. I already have 130+ reads and we're only on the sixth chapter. *Inhale* Boi.)
Your POV
I went through a bunch of puzzles, but they didn't require much dancing at all. In fact, the only times I got scared was during battles. Though, the monsters could see that I wasn't willing to fight and mostly let me go.
I finally arrived at Snowdin Town, a beautiful town with a variety of shops and other places.
I went into the store, meeting a female rabbit there. She smiled warmly at me. "What would you like?" she questioned.
I took a long look at the list of things she sold and finally settled on a few things. "May I have two cinna-bunnies, please? And maybe a bisicle."
"Here you go!" she said cheerfully, handing me the bag. "It's on the house. I rarely see new faces here."
I grinned. "Really? Wow, thank you! That's very nice."
"No problem! Have a nice day!" she responded, waving.
I waved back and left. She seemed nice.
I went through the town, admiring all of the sights. Everyone seemed like they liked it here. I did too, tibia honest. Gah, Sans is rubbing off on me.
I made it to a house that had many Christmas lights strewn across it. It looked ready for Christmas, actually. There was even a wreath on the door.
Next to it was two mailboxes. One was overflowing with mail that was labeled "sans", while the other was completely empty and labeled "THE GREAT PAPYRUS".
I found that sad. No one gave Papyrus any mail?
I sat on the doorstep, realizing that this was probably the skelebros' house. Made sense. It was the biggest house in Snowdin.
I actually was pretty comfortable there, which wasn't something I felt often.
I heard the door creak open and someone thump beside me. I didn't turn my head as I already knew who it was. "Hello, Sans."
"heya," he replied.
We were silent for a while as I thought about what was going to happen with monster battles, and the thing with Papyrus.
Sans's POV
I stared at (Y/N), wondering if I could ever get them to dance or feel less uncomfortable around other people dancing. I finally decided in something. "hey, (Y/N)?"
They glanced at me. "Yes?"
"i, uh..." Ugh, this is already a really bad idea. "i want to show you somewhere i always love to go."
They smiled. "Alright." Then their smile faltered. "This isn't about my chorophobia, is it?"
Gosh, they're good.
"noooo...." I lied. I wouldn't usually say this, but... Gosh, I absolutely suck at lying.
They sighed and set their head on their chin, wrapping their arms around their knees. "You're lying. I'm just a mistake down here. Up there," they said, pointing upwards towards the ceiling, "I was frowned upon because everyone danced."
I could immediately see where this was going. They would say something super sad and then I'm supposed to comfort them.
"But down here," they continued, pointing at the ground, "I'm as good as dead." Tears built up in the corners of their eyes.
I set my hand on their shoulder, trying to both show them that I felt sorry for them, and to get them to shut up so I could help them feel better.
They wiped their tears quickly and stared me in the eyes. Er, eyesockets, rather. "No one has ever really cared about me. They just want to keep my phobia from being triggered to make their lives easier."
Oh gosh, what do I say?
"well, tori cares about you," I pointed out nervously. "and..." I hesitated. "i care about you."
Their cheeks went slightly red, but I decided that it was nothing important.
(Y/N) looked back down at their feet, which were only covered by fuzzy socks. As I observed them more, I realized that they must be wearing only pajamas.
"so... you left in the middle of the night?" I guessed.
"Pardon?" they questioned, folding their hands neatly like they did often.
"i mean, you went to mount ebbot in the middle of the night?"
They glanced down at their outfit and their face turned a shade darker. "Oh, uh, yeah."
"who'd you leave?" I asked, possibly intrusively.
(Y/N)'s pupils shrank, which I recognized as a bad sign.
"I left my sister Genevieve and her loud friends," they hissed with a tiny amount of venom laced in their voice which I haven't heard from them before.
I didn't know what to reply, so I just said, "oh."
They sighed, standing up. "I guess I could go get a room at the inn. I'll be staying in Snowdin for a while."
I suddenly grabbed their shoulder as they were about to leave. "wait!" I shouted.
Their head whipped around in surprise. "Huh?"
"you can stay with paps and i!" I blurted, words forming in my mouth without my consent.
"Really?" they squeaked, turning their whole body around now.
"sure, it won't be a problem," I told them, inwardly punching myself.
"That's great! Thank you!" Without warning, they engulfed me in a hug.
I bit back a scream.
