Soul's  POV

"Thanks for picking me up Kid," I thank, putting my bag on the floor. "No problem," He says, starting the car back up. "So where's Patty and Liz?" I ask, looking out the window. "They both decided to stay up late and refused to wake up today," He explains. After that we ride the rest of the journey in silence.

"So the temperature was too cold huh," Tsubaki teases as I get out the car. "No," I deny, swinging my bag over my shoulder. She just smiles and walks over to Black*Star. "What's up Kid," Isayoi greets, walking over to Kid and gives me a side look, "Oh hey Soul." I nod and continue to walk away. An arm swings around my shoulder and pulls me back. "So what's up with you and Isayoi hating each other?" Obi asks, letting go of me. Jasmine casually walks over and wraps her arm around his torso. "I keep forgetting you've only been in this district for 3 years," She says, leaning on him.

"That still doesn't answer anything," He sighs, putting his arm around her shoulder. I look away, refusing to explain. "Well since he is being a drama queen I guess I'll explain," She begins, sighing, "Around 6th grade he tricked Jade into going on a date with him because he 'liked her' and during the date he broke her heart and the next day she wore this shirt that exposed the top bit of her tattoo and Isayoi saw it and after he explained why he pulled down her shirt a little she told him why she was crying so he has this deep grudge against Soul."

"So he's always been the player since Elementary school?" Obi questions, looking between Jasmine and I. "Pretty much," Jasmine hums, closing her eyes. "Whatever he should just get over it. I mean Jade doesn't hate me," I defend, shoving my hands in my pockets. "Just because she doesn't like you doesn't mean she completely forgives you. She just tolerates you because I'm friends with you," Jasmine explains, opening her eyes to look at me. "Yeah, Yeah. Can we get inside before we freeze our asses off," I complain, wanting to get out of this conversation and cold.

They nod their heads in unison and break away from their embrace. I walk ahead and don't stop until I'm at my locker. "Hey Soul," Someone greets me from behind, their voice flirtatious. "Hey," I smirk, turning around to come face to face with the girl from before. "So is our date still on for Saturday?" She asks, fiddling with the sleeves of her sweater. "Of course," I assure, tilting her head to look at me. Her cheeks turning a light pink.

"Unless you want to cancel," I whisper in her ear. I feel her shake her head before stepping back a little. She kisses my cheek and walks off. "Oh my god this so annoying to watch," Jasmine gags, shutting a locker shut. I turn around and find my locker closed with my bag on the floor. "You are so uncool," I mutter, picking up my bag and put in my combination again. "Well I'm off," She says, shutting my locker again, "Bye." I glare at her as she disappears into the crowd.

I finally open up my locker again and take out my books. The first bell goes off and I trudge to first period not wanting to be late.

"I hate Mr. Ackerman so much," I growl, grabbing my lunch before slamming my door shut. "It's not his fault you decided to be such a pain," Jasmine teases, leaning on her locker. "Well he didn't need to give me a detention," I huff, scanning the crowd. "If you're looking for Obi he said he would meet us at the usual spot today," She explains, standing up properly. "I'm not looking for him," I reply, deciding to stop looking. "Then who?" She asks, propping a hand on her hip. I shake my head and walk away.

"Hey don't leave me," She whines, running to catch up.

"Then stop asking questions."

She puffs her cheeks out like a child and stays silent. "There you are Merida," Someone squeals, jumping on Jasmine. "Get off of me Sapphire," She yells, pushing Jade off of her. "Can't a sister be nice and look for you," Jade pouts, Isayoi coming up from behind her. "And I told you not to jump on her," He sighs, resting his head on hers, "And besides you're in a dress, someone could've looked up your skirt like him." He lazily points a finger in my direction. "First of all I wouldn't look up her skirt. I wouldn't stoop that low. And second of all I don't go after the same girl twice," I sneer, giving him a sideways glance.

"Last night says a different story," He spits, fixing his position so he is now standing next to her with his hand around her waist. "Alright lets go you know how Kid and Obi can get when someone is late," Jasmine breaks in, "Oh Jade where's your friend?" Jade looks up, her eyes wide. "I forgot to tell her to meet me," Jade panics, "I'll be back." She races down the almost empty hallway and disappears. We begin to walk, the silence filled with awkwardness and tension. "So what happened last night?" Jasmine asks, looking between Isayoi and I.

"Nothing," I grumble, putting one hand in my pocket. "He asked Jade to kiss him if he got a strike," Isayoi explains. "You're an idiot Soul," She sighs, walking ahead. "I don't know what your problem with me is and if it's about what happened 5 years ago then you really need to learn on how to let go," I speak up, again looking at him sideways. "It's not about what happened," He sighs, "But how you are in general. Hits on girls and ruin their way of soulmates and love? What happened that made you feel like this? Actually I guess I do still have a grudge against you because you did that same thing to Jade. She looked at me with doubt written in her eyes."

"The reason I do what I do is none of your concern so stay out of it. I'm sorry that I did that to Jade but it was in the past and she doesn't look at me with malice like you do so can we at least try to get along? I don't want to be your enemies after all we were friends back in 1st," I admit, turning to face him, "So what do you say?" I extend my hand and he turns to face me. Hesitantly he extends his hand and shakes mine. "Whatever, just don't make any moves on her or I will make sure no one will find you," He threatens, letting go of my hand, "No lets go, I'm getting bored just standing here and I'm hungry."

I nod in agreement and open the door to field. We walk the whole way up the hill in silence. "Took you guys long enough," Obi sighs, "For a second I thought you two would miss lunch." Isayoi sighs, "Yeah well this one kept me to talk." I roll my eyes and sit next to Kid. "You two are 7 minutes late and you two didn't even bring Jade. I mean the least you could do is be 8 minutes long to keep the symmetry," Kid exaggerates, glaring at the both of us. "Where is Jade anyways, she's just like Kid when it comes to being on time and whatnot," Obi asks, wrapping an arm around Jasmine.

"She went to go Maka," Isayoi explains, "Now I'm bored so what about climbing the tree or throwing a football with me Soul?" I shrug my shoulders, taking a bite out of my sandwich. "I thought you were hungry," I smirk after swallowing. "Jade has my food so what do you say I don't have all day." Again I shrug my shoulders and get up. "Its not like I'm really hungry anyways so sure," I agree, grabbing my food, "Here Jasmine you know you want it." She squeals and grabs it from my hands. "Did you just squeal?" Kid asks, "Isn't that what Jade does? Did you two do a twin swap again?"

"What no," Jasmine assures, "Soul's just a really good cook even if it's as simple as a sandwich." I walk after Isayoi who somehow got ahold of football. "Think fast," He shouts, swiftly turning around and throws it. I catch it, my hands red and in pain. "Can you tone down your strength a bit? I still need my hands," I snap back, looking down at my hands, "This is so uncool." He just laughs. "So this is how we're playing?" I think, getting ready to throw it, "Alright then."
