Chase ran through the woods as fast as he could. He could hear the dogs barking and running after him.

'I gotta get out of here.'

He could hear the scientists yelling for him; the laboratory burning to the ground. He kept running until he saw the lights of the city.  'Almost there.' His hope was soon dashed as he slammed into the wire fence sending him to the ground.   'What the hell?! Where did this come from?' He stood back up and pressed his hand to the fence. 'Well, at least the power is gone from the wires.' He nodded and began to climb the fence and landed on the other side with a soft thud before taking off towards the city again.

Chase must have walked for hours. His clothes ripped and soaking wet from the rain. He wandered the streets for hours trying to remain out of sight. He walked for hours until he stopped outside a huge, dark manor.  He raised his hand to the door and knocked twice before a man who looked to be in his 40's opened the door. He was tall and had broad shoulders. He had piercing red eyes shielded behind reading glasses and a concerned look on his face.

"Can I help you?" The man's voice was calm and gentle, but stern at the same time. Chase tried to form the words before he limped closer to the man.

"Hi, ummm does Edward Hyde live here?" Chase's eyes were dull and growing weaker as he was loosing more of his will to stay conscious.

"Yes. What business do you have with me?" Edward took off his glasses and gave a grim look as he began to shut the door on Chase.

"I'm your grandson, and I need your help." Chase collapsed before he could get another word out.
