"Y'know you never gave me a chance to say goodbye" I turn to face the familiar voice and smile

"You can say it now, if it means that much to you"

"I'd much rather do this" He leans foreword and his lips connect with mine... "Now if you'd like this to continue, I suggest you show me around so I'll know just where to take you out for dinner tonight"

I pull on his hand and lead him through the streets "Well, Zack, welcome to London..."

--------------------------------------

"So it was you who left the envelope" I raise my eyebrows

"Yep," He takes a sip of his coffee "Why? Who'd you think it was?"

"I always figured it was Rian"

"I mentioned it to him, he thought it was a pretty good idea" He shrugs

"Of course he did, if I was here then I'd be away from Jack, mom, and basically everyone else he feared would end up hurting me. It was kinda like his Texas plan, y'know" I cross my arms "So, why are you here?"

"Why am I in London? What, I can't just come all the way 'across the pond' to see my favorite little Kat?" I roll my eyes and he continues "We're all here on tour for a month"

"A whole month, wow"

"Yeah, so do you wanna..." He raises his eyebrows

"What?"

"You know" He shrugs slightly

"Are you referring to sex? Because if so, it's a little foreword don't you think, Merrick?" I sigh

"No not that!" He laughs "Do you wanna go to the hotel and see the rest of the guys?"

I nervously tug at the ends of my sleeves "Ummm... It would be nice... Will you-know-who be there?"

"We don't have to go to his room if you don't want to. C'mon, Alex and your brother miss you" Nodding reluctantly, I follow him through the crowded town to the hotel.

The place was huge, a chandelier in the lobby, skylights in the plush carpeted hallways, they gave out full size cookies at the front desk. The rugs at the front door are spotless despite all the people going in and out.

I give it one day until these boys burn it to the ground.

After climbing up flight after flight of stairs we finally got to the right rooms. Zack knocks on one of the doors and I smile hearing the voice inside reply "Come in" I push open the door and see three figures inside.

"KAT!" Alex screams, pulling me into a very tight hug and spinning me around "OH MY GOD I'VE MISSED YOU SO MUCH!" I chuckle and nod

"I've missed you too"

"You sound so British oh my god! I can't believe it's you, kid!" He sounds like an overly excited toddler.

"Thanks?"

"How's my little sister?" Rian hugs me and whispers "I missed you so much, I hope you're doing well"

"I'm doin' alright, Rian" I smile, the smell of his cologne bringing back some nostalgia.

I pull away and look over at Jack. He nods understandingly and I give him a quick hug. Somehow him and the guys must have made up. I just hope what happened between us didn't cause any awkward feelings with the rest of the band. But by the looks of it they're all getting along just fine.

"I've missed you, I'm so sorry, Kat. Is it okay with you if we talk later?" He asks, I nod, hoping it's not gonna turn into an argument. Knowing the way we get along, it probably will.

"I just can't believe you're here!" Alex says, kissing me on the forehead. Then I remember that I left just before his wedding.

"Oh my god you and Lisa are married now! How's married life treating you man?"

"Yep. We're doing great! I honestly don't know what I was so worried about that made me wait to seal the deal this long" He smiles, the way his eyes light up and how he's always so genuine when he's talking about Lisa is really amazing. "You seeing anyone?" He wiggles his eyebrows

"Not at the moment" I chuckle, stepping back and looking at the group "You guys grew up so much" I haven't seen or even talked to these boys more than a few texts and phone calls in over two years, they look so different. As awkward as I thought this situation would be, I'm glad we're finally reunited. "Rian, how's Cass?"

"She's doing great, she's due in three months" He smiles

"Due?" I raise my eyebrows and he nods "Like... Baby due?"

"Yeah. We're having little girl"

"Oh my god Rian I'm so happy for you two!"

My brother's got a wife and now they're gonna have a baby. It seems like just recently he was telling on me for putting gum in his hair or for knocking over his block tower.

"Enough about us, Kat what the hell have you been up to?" Alex pats the spot next to him on the couch

I sit down and shrug "Not much"

"That's it? No streaking through Buckingham Palace? No running down the streets waving an American flag? No reenacting the Boston tea party? What about any romantic rendezvous?"

"Nope"

"Wow. Do you have a job?"

"Yeah, I've been designing signs and logos for some local businesses"

"Well look at our little Picasso. Any pets?"

"Nope, I can't have pets in my apartment building"

"An apartment, wow. Roommates?"

"No roommates. I just kinda live alone" I shrug

"Oh totally, any 'special visitors' coming by once in a while?" He winks

"Oh my god, Alex, for the third time, no"

"Alright, alright. Just making sure"

~~~~~
After a few hours of catching up with the other boys I follow Jack across the hall to his room, where he suggested we could talk in private. I stand near the door as he paces back and forth through the small living room and sighs
"Kat, I still love you"
