My hand patting his head. I felt a urge to sing. As the dark room sit still, the candles flickered. I started humming a gentle melody, slowly words drew out. In a foreign language it naturally came out. As I continue to sing the candles flickered more. I felt Valen neck as I drew my finger on the mark on his neck. My song soothing him, he gently opens his eyes. He looks at me as he gently caressed my face. I started singing with a stronger voice. The lights started to flicker even more till the lights all went out. "My Princess, I grant you, your ownership, I grant you my love, and I grant you my obedience." Valen said as I felt his presence rise from my lap. I heard a loud snap. The candles lighting up again. Suddenly I saw a dark shadow in the corner of my eyes. "Halt! You do not have the right to interfere with her." Valen commanded. The shadow than drawing away, "She's not even your owner yet, she hasn't fully allowed you ownership, you can also tell, you aren't fully in her heart." The person said. I wanted to see what the person looked like so I wanted to turn back. Though I wished I could, Valen seemed like he didn't want me to. He eyed me to come to him.
I rise but my body feel lighter than usual. My steps so gentle I couldn't get a hold of it. I tripped. I could feel myself falling but I wasn't use to my body this light that I didn't know how to adjust. Oh my...what to do??... I thought. Then I was lifted back by someone wrapping their arm around my waist. I look up. It was a young man with such gentle deep eyes. His face pale as the dim moon light. He looks into my eyes and hollowly smiled. "Ah, this is how the princess look like, her blood smell like a delicacy, now I know why you would want this for yourself." The young man said. I was shook by his words and took a step back. "I'm not a delicacy but a enchantress so if you don't want to turn into dust I advice you to GET AWAY." I said with a steady voice. I never knew I could do that... "Oh what a gal, what a gal." The young man said while clapping. Valen Teeth started to show, I could feel a angry presence. "Ah, I would love to assist you my princess, so please be the owner of me, I beg.." The young man suddenly taking my hand and kissed it. Valen had enough and pushed him away from me, "Now you think I'm going to play with you? You have disrespected my master and I will punish you!" Valen yelled with a pissed off face. "You must be joking me..." The young man scoffed. "You are talking about how she is your master when she hasn't even grant you that wish, and the ritual isn't over, the full moon hasn't even arrived. So the mean time you are only temporary, and that mark won't last forever until you gain your placement." The man continued, "Also after you push her off into the portal, you endangered your master and you know that means you will be given punishment." The young man laughed. "Now there Levi, You think your so clever telling me off don't you? Must I remind you that you lost to the weakest Vampires from the Shield Academy? How do you think you can protect a Enchantress?" Valen said. They were so close to fighting and it pissed me off that I don't know anything. "STOP IT!" I yelled. "I'll let you know, if you guys want to fight about me, please let me at least understand!" They both looked at me lost and confused.
I sighed. "Can we please go have a seat and talk calmly? And someone help me.... I can't walk with this weird lightness." Valen came to me and held me up in his arm. Levi look at him pissed. We came into the living room and Valen put me on the coach. "My lady, you look stunning even after drinking such a disgusting blood from Mr.V." Levi said. "Hush your mouth you ghost." Valen snapped. "Valen, can you please calm down and have a decent conversation." I begged Valen. "If my master wish for it than I'll do it." He sat by me in a protective manner. "What to do Valen? You are protective as always. You have always been such a good Knight, why don't you let a ghost recharge his energy." Levi said with a sad face. "Levi, are you a idiot? To protect her you must obey her not eat her." Valen replied in disbelieve. "Oh right, I'm sorry it's just her smell, it's so strong and sweet." Levi said. "What do you mean?" I asked Levi. Levi opened his mouth to reply to me but Valen cut him off, "It means he wants to eat you so he can gain power." Levi just smiled with a dumb look. "Why would you want to be my knight if you are intending to eat me?" I asked Levi. "I'm a ghost, Not eating you isn't the only way I can gain ranks." Levi said gently. "What ranks are you talking about?" I asked. "Ranks are what positions we are in. Everyone in this realm are ranked, for example you as a Enchantress, your population are low but your highest ranks have the most power. Making you guys important." Levi answered. "Also our ranks are all unknown, but only ourself know. So if we serve someone with a higher rank our power combine. So many of us lower ranks try to serve those with higher ranks." Levi continued. "Does that mean I'm in a high rank?" I asked. "No it doesn't mean that. We could be in a higher rank than you but because we don't know we have to go by instinct. One way is the smell and the energy. As I said, you smell delicious." Valen rages when Levi said delicious. I put my hand on Valen lap trying to calm him. "Who can you guys serve?" "Anyone really, we can even serve our own kind but combining the same power does not give you much advantages." As I hear all this I only got more confused and I think Valen could tell that. "Basically, we can serve anyone and we must try our best to be in the top of the rank so that no one can try to harm us or kill us when we have battles." Valen summarized for me. "What rank are you Valen?" I asked. "The top." Levi answered. "He has the strongest scent and as you can see he is the most experienced." Levi sighed. "Wait so why are you trying to serve me Valen? Shouldn't I be serving you?" I said in outer shock. Valen laughed. "You are in a higher rank than me." I look at him confused.
This was all just way to complicating. Levi suddenly disappeared. Than I felt a cool chill next to me. I turned and saw Levi sitting right next to me. "HOW DID YOU GET HERE?" I immediately pushed closer to Valen. "I'm a ghost, and my my my aren't you close to him." Levi said. I look confused until I turn to Valen to see myself holding on to his arm. "I don't intend to be your knight but only to have you protect me." Levi lowered his tone. "Us ghost aren't really used for battles but more for the intelligent, so we can't really survive." I look at him focusing more on what he had to say. "I must tell you, I did not come here to joke but to say is ghost do need you, Enchantress." I am completely lost but I needed to know what he meant. "We only have a population of some Enchantress left after the battle of the Enchantress and the Lords. After the Lords tried to invade our realm. Sadly after your father was captured, us ghost had to be replacement. But because us ghost are intelligence instead of Warriors, we are now on the rise of endangerment." I felt pain in my heart for hearing that. "I'm sorry of what's happening and even though my memory aren't all fully recovered I feel that I must help." Levi smiled with tears falling from his eyes.
Valen gently patted my head. "I think you should take your rest." Valen insisted. "Why? I'm not tired yet." I energetically said. Valen look at Levi. Levi nodded. Suddenly I felt Levi hand on my forehead and I felt sleepy. "Levi, I know you didn't come for some small talk." I heard Valen said as I became sleepy. "Yes, it is LORD." Levi replied. Valen lifted me up and quickly flew up the stairs to my room. He placed me on the bed, suddenly a kiss on my forehead. "I'm sorry I can't protect you any better... i love you..." as I heard his gentle words, I felt my body sinking into a softness. A sweet daze.
