"Where ya going?" Cynthia asked me while she was on the couch watching some show show on Netflix. I hadn't realized I haven't told her yet until this very second.
I adjusted my earrings. "I'm going to eat with Paul"
She paused the show as she jumped up and down. "Girl! Why did you say it so calmly. It's Paul George."
I chuckled. "I mean he's a regular guy except he just plays basketball for a living."
She rolled her eyes. "Well when you say it like that it makes me sound crazy"
"We've been talking. I really like him, I just hope we don't rush it. I want this to last." I sighed as I sat down on the couch.
"Look at you. You're gorgeous and you're an amazing person. If he's a smart man, he should know what he's getting himself into" Cynthia spoke back.
I laughed grabbing my purse from the table, "Yeah, we'll see. Anyways how I look?" I said turning around so she could get a full view.
She gasped, "Beautiful"
I'm surprised she hadn't said anything about me going on a date with her long time crush. Maybe she has something going on with Melo? I don't even know.
I heard a knock on the door. It was Paul looking like a snack. "Hey" he paused. "You look - wow" he stared down at me.
"Ya, you don't look too bad either." I joked, as he handed me some roses. "These for me?" I asked.
He grabbed my hand as we walked down the stairs. "Ya, of course. Ain't I supposed to do that?" He smirked.
I laughed. "When was the last time you've been on a date"
He frowned thinking about it in his head, "Like two years ago. People usually recognize me so I don't really have to try, whatever I say goes because they just want me for my money."
I nodded. "Damn.." I chuckled. "Well I promise I ain't here for your money."
"I know you aren't, we wouldn't be having this much fun with each other if you were." He said truthfully.
He walked me over to his car, and he opened the door for me. He had really impressed me so far. With the roses and him now him being a gentlemen. I didn't expect that from a ball player. Mama raised him right.
"You good?" He asked as he got inside the car.
I nodded my head enjoying and savoring this moment.

XPaul tapped his fingers on the desk. We had been waiting for our table for 15 minutes. "Excuse me sir, can you please stop it's disturbing" The woman in the front desk spoke out.
"I mean I set up a reservation I shouldn't be waiting this long.." He muttered but it was clear the woman had heard him loud and clear.
"I'm sorry, we're really busy tonight." The woman apologized.
"Paul," I grabbed his shoulder. "You can take me to Mcdonalds and I'll still be okay with that. I just want to eat."
He shook his head. "I wanted this night to be special,"
I pulled him closer to me. "Just being here with you is enough for me really." I assured him.
"Ya sure?" He asked raising an eyebrow.
"Ya. This would've been great but I'm not waiting in these heels for another minute," I frowned.
He chuckled. "I'll carry you back"
I shook my head. "Please, You don't have to"
He then picked me up bridal style and the rest of the people just stared at us. It was funny, and I hoped I wouldn't injure Paul. "Paul," I whined. "I don't wanna get you hurt. Put me down."
"Julie, I'm an athlete I'm used to this." I heard him say.
I let it be as we finally made into the car, I quickly just slipped those damn heels off. They were cute, but they were really killing my feet. I looked at the back seat and saw how Paul had some of his slides there so I put them on instead. They were big, but they were still much more comfortable than those heels.
"Let's go to the drive thru or something. I'm tired.. remind me to burn those heels." I joked.
He smiled. "Or we can go to my place and I'll cook. I ain't that bad.."
"Sounds good to me." I nodded my head.
He leaned down looking at my feet, "Damn I feel like I got the biggest feet in the world now."
"Ya, they just a little big." I commented.
