Julianna Coley"So how was it?" Paul asked grabbing the plates from the dining table.
I stood up from my seat and I was so full, "It was amazing. You impressed me."
He smiled. "I knew you would like it. I mean everyone does." He said cockily.
I noticed he was about to wash the plates, but he had already cooked for us. It was only right if I contributed in some way. "Let me wash the dishes"
"Ya don't have to" He mumbled.
I pulled his arm aside and went over and put soap on the plates. "It's only right Paul"
He put his hands up. "Alright do you. You didn't have to though"
I chuckled. "Are we really fighting over who gets to wash the dishes?"
He licked his lips realizing who foolish we both looked like. "Yeah, I guess so"
He walked away while I finished washing the dishes. I was really feeling him, and I just loved being around him. It's starting to worry because I feel so clingy already.
I put the plates in the dishwasher and went over to find him. "Paul?" I called out. His house was so big, so this was neccesary.
"Right here" He said loud enough for me to find him.
He was watching a Lakers game. They were going up against the Pacers. "What ya doing?" I said sitting down next to him.
"Shit!" His attention was on the game. I rolled my eyes as I turned my attention to my phone. I went on Twitter and saw that his name was trending on Twitter. How he trending on twitter when he's sitting on the couch?
He looked over at me. "I'm sorry." He apologized.
"You don't have to apologize. I know how much you love the game." I said back.
He sighed. "It's not just that. I might leave to play for the Lakers and I want to study their plays. That way if I go it'll be a easy and perfect fit"
I put my phone down as I scrunched my nose. "Hold up you're actually thinking about leaving?"
He chuckled. "Well ya, my family lives there. It's home. I'll always want to play for them."
"It seems like your mind is already set" I mumbled.
He licked his lips as he looked down. "I love it here, but LA is home. I'm still not set on where I'm going. My family has been bothering me to go to LA so they could see me play live most nights"
"You could always fly them out here, Paul" I said sternly.
"Look, I don't want to argue. I'm still weighing my options. I love it here. But playing in front of my family as a professional athlete would be a dream come true" He said back.
"Paul," I sighed. "Do you like me or are you just playing me? Be honest. I don't want to waste my time if It's just a game to you"
He grabbed my hand. "I like you. I told you that when I first met you."
I chuckled. "So what if we turn out to have a serious relationship, and you leave. What's gonna happen then?"
"I don't know.." He said back.
I pulled my hand away from his. "Thank you for dinner and everything you've done for me thus far, but I'm out. I'm not gonna entertain this just for it to last a couple of months."
He stood up. "Julie, don't go."
I walked away. "You clearly are leaving. Why stay when I know you'll just end up leaving me?"
And with that I walked out of his house. This is when I realized he had driven us here. "Fuck" I mumbled while crying. I ended up sitting on his porch calling Cynthia to pick me up.
"Ya, Julianna?" She asked.
"Can you pick me up?" I said crying.
"I thought you were with Paul" She said back.
"Just come pick me up. I'll text you the address. Please hurry." I told her.
"I'm on my way." She said back.

I sighed. "I ended whatever we had going on. That's what happened."
"Girl, y'all were doing good together. How did this happen?" She asked.
I took off my shoes and the jacket I had on. "He's leaving Cyn. We can't have anything going on just for him to leave. I can't do that"
She sat down next to me on the couch. "Wait he said he's leaving? Just yesterday Carmelo was telling me he was sure he was staying"
I shook my head. "He has family there. That's never going to be an easy oppurtunity to pass up."
She pulled me into a hug, "I'm sorry babe. I'm here for you and hey we can watch a few scary movies on Netflix" She offered. It was times like these when I was thankful to have her around.
I smiled. "Thank you."
She shrugged. "I love you. Anything to make you feel better."
"Didn't you have plans with Carmelo?" I asked.
"Ya, but I can reschedule. I don't wanna leave you alone. Melo can wait." I laughed as she went over to the kitchen calling Melo.
Meanwhile I got a message from the devil himself.
Paul ❤: I promise what we have is real. I'm not playing you, Julie.
Julianna: It can't be real, because it was never something.
