So, here's what you missed on Unrequited...
Even though the reader is upset with her brother for not apologizing over the whole Marley's mom thing, he's trying to be there for her during her rough patch with Marley. Speaking of Marley, she got her heart broken by Jake when Kitty announced that they were a thing now. Her and the reader kind of made up even though they didn't really talk about why the reader was mad at her in the first place. But, either way, the reader is still into Marley while Marley is still into Jake. And in an unwritten part of Unrequited, Blaine joined all these clubs and became president to fill the void of Kurt going to New York. And that's what you missed on Unrequited!

It's been a couple weeks since Jake joined glee club, and I guess things are going alright. I can tell that Marley is still into him, but she's not as sad as when she first found out he was dating Kitty. I will admit that he's actually kind of decent. More than I thought he was. Maybe that's just around Marley though.

Marley and I have been great. Nothing is extremely awkward and we still haven't talked about our fight, so she has no idea that I like her. That's good isn't it? I don't even know what's worse. Liking her and her not knowing, or telling her and the out loud rejection that would follow. I walk into the cafeteria for lunch and before I get to where she's sitting, Jake sits down next to her. I don't really feel like conversing with him right now so I just take my lunch elsewhere.

Later in the day, I'm walking by the auditorium when I hear music coming from inside. I venture a peek and see that it's Blaine. By the sound of his song choice, "Barely Breathing" by Duncan Sheik, I can tell he's missing Kurt a lot. It feels wrong to spy on him, but I want to help. So, I quietly walk down and sit in one of the chairs to let him finish singing out his emotions.

He finishes his song and notices me. "Y/n, I didn't know you were listening," he clears his throat. I get up from the chair and meet him at the stage.

"I didn't want to interrupt," I begin softly, "but, I wanted to ask if you wanted to talk about Kurt." I place a hand on his arm and squeeze reassuringly.

He smiles, and it's so sad my heart aches a little for him. "Thank you, but I," he pauses to regain his composure, "I'll be fine. See you later, ok?" And with that, he grabs his bag and walks away. Leaving me wondering how to help. It's hard to be there for someone who won't let you. Seeing him perform that song to an empty chair, I just have a pit in my stomach about what could happen next. I wish he'd let me listen, at least.

When I get home, the house is eerily quiet. My parents were off doing something, I know that. But, my brother had me get a ride home from someone else so I didn't know if he was already here. "Hello?" I call out cautiously to the empty house. No answer. I take my stuff to my room before heading to the kitchen for something to eat. As I move to open the fridge I notice two different notes hung there by magnets.

The first from my parents, saying that they had to go out of town for whatever they were doing. This was news to me for this weekend, but not unusual. The second was in the familiar handwriting of my brother.

Y/n,
Going out tonight. Might not be home till late or tomorrow. Hope you don't get too lonely. If you do, invite someone over. Mom and dad won't mind.

I blink as I stare at the note. Confused because first of all I have a phone he could've texted. Or called. Or you know, told me in person at school. And because second of all, he never just stays the night anywhere except for one person and that person doesn't live here anymore. I frown at the note, knowing that wherever he went it's not going to turn out well. But, I decide to take his advice and invite Marley to stay the night since we didn't have a lot of time today.

I shoot her a text and she happily agrees. Her mom drops her off about 45 minutes later. I hug her before inviting her inside and giving her a tour of the house. "Wow," she marvels, "your house is so nice!"
