(Ciel's POV)
"Sebastian?" He turned around. I could see the full extent of his tiredness, from his disheveled clothing, to the bags under his eyes. So many readable emotions were etched into his features. He seemed happy, fearful, sad and lonely all at once.
"Ah, good morning Master, have you slept well?"
"I have, although I haven't had my morning tea yet, and it seems I have no memory of anything that happened last night." A hysterical laugh burbled from Sebastian's lips.
"I suppose if humans want to forget about something enough they will." He seemed like he was in a lot of pain. His usually bright crimson eyes seemed duller than usual. What had happened? Why was he like this? A tear slipped down my cheek, although I didn't understand why. I must find out what happened! I frustratedly wiped the single tear away and turned back to Sebastian.
" Sebastian, I want to know what happened!"
"With all due respect Young Master, the fact that you forgot what happened in the first place tells a different story." I scoffed at his words.
"Sebastian, I was crying. Have you ever seen me cry? I want to know what was painful enough to make me cry for the first time in 4 years. And do I even need to start with how you look? I do believe I gave you an order Sebastian. Show me what happened!"
"Fine..." He sighed. "Please give me a second to regain myself." I gave a quick nod.
"Go ahead, I will wait in my study then."
(Sebastian POV)
Damn. I cursed at my incompetence. I truly wish he hadn't seen me in that unseemly state. Of course he would want to know what happened after seeing me like that. I let out a frustrated groan as I fixed my hair and ironed my tailcoat. I had never been this stressed in my entire life. Never had anyone else's opinion ever mattered to me, and it felt terrible. I was here because a foolish human wanted power and I was hungry. I felt a pang of guilt for calling Ciel foolish and threw the iron against the wall. I was breathing hard now, my eyes glowing as I tried to sort out the ongoing argument in my head. Just then, I heard a knock on the door.
"Mister Sebastian, are you alright in there?" Mey-Rin was standing outside slightly trembling. I composed myself and peeked my head out the door.
"Of course" I spoke with a tight lipped smile. "Something just fell that's all". She tried and failed to peek in my room.
"I am sorry Mister Sebastian." She turned and left in a hurry. Had she seen something? I frowned at the dent in the wall.
"It would've been quite troublesome if she would've seen this..." I quickly fixed the wall using my demonic powers. Feeling slightly better after getting some energy out, I took a breath and stepped into the hall.
