1: Here She Comes

"Here she comes." Secretary of the student counsel Sayaka Igarashi announced to the rest of the student counsel.

"I wonder who she'll choose today..." President Kirari Momobami murmured as she continued on with her daily tasks. It wasn't likely to be her, since she had been your choice yesterday, but on the other hand, you had chosen Kaede Manyuda, treasurer, a few days in a row before.

"Please rise." Sayaka requested as the doors all flew open to reveal the person on the top of the pyramid at this school: you. "Bow before Princess YN."

Immediately, everyone's heads lowered in reverence. This was a school for the elite, and you were the most elite of all. Princess of Japan. Although the Emperor had no true sway in the country any longer, your family was held in high regard. And you had seemingly bottomless coffers. This made you a perfect fit for Hyakkaou Private Academy. So perfect, that a new position had been created on student council to provide you the respect you deserved.

The choice that had made you different from the prince and princesses before you was that you chose to remain mostly anonymous. Your name was public of course, but you went by a nickname and modified your appearance just slightly so that you could freely mingle with the rest of the school population. That, however, wasn't necessary here in the student council. You tilted your head just slightly, to show your respect to your fellow council members, but you knew what they were waiting for.

Daily, you chose whoever suited your mood to be your significant other. It was a high honor, of course, to be chosen, but it was almost random. As you sat at the tail of the table, everyone raised their heads back up to your pleasant smile.

Their hearts collectively melted and each one of the student council members secretly wished that they would be the one chosen today. That was your skill after all. Creating adoration in every person you met.

But today, you felt on edge. Something was going to happen soon and that meant that you wanted to be with someone you were more comfortable with. That ruled out Ririka Momobami, vice president, Midari Ikishima, president of the beautification council, Runa Yomozuki, general member, Itsuki Sumeragi, general member and Yumemi Yumemite, head of public relations. Not that you had a problem with any of this students, in fact you really loved being around Midari in particular. But she especially, along with those others, often times stressed you out more than some of the others.

That left you Kirari, Sayaka, Yuriko Nishinotouin, president of the Tradition Culture Research Society, and of course, the only boy and your favorite, Kaede.

As you sat in your chair, smiling cheerfully in your school uniform, you felt the tension in the room build. Maybe you were a little sadistic, and enjoyed this feeling, but you knew that nothing would move on until you said a name. So you decided to get on with it.

"Yuriko, could you please escort me today?"
