"I will wager..." Itsuki held her fingers in front of her face with determination. "One hundred chips!"
You weren't really surprised. After the way Kaede had treated her, and after the way the council had treated her, why wouldn't she want her revenge? It didn't really matter to you, what she did. You would simply ensure that she never earned a position in society where she would be close to you. She had already lost that privilege. But you weren't so evil that if she rightfully won her spot back on the council, that you would block that. Not only would that look really bad, but it would cause the council to lose its credibility.
"Idiot." Kaede scolded her. "You're making an unwise choice."
"You think you'll get me back on the council? That's absurd! There's no way that the president would ever allow that! Not to mention, nothing annoys me more than the way you look down on me! You told me once, senpai, that you and I were the same. That's why, because we're the same, I'm going to take you down! I am not a toy! I am not just for practice! I have my own value too! I can compare to a princess!"
"No." He spoke quietly, but enunciated enough for you to understand. "You absolutely cannot."
"Now, then," Ririka ordered everyone together again. Let's resume gambling."
"This is so saucy!~" Runa wiggled in her seats as card changes were made and everyone in the audience became raucous.
"With all these chips, I guess there's no need to be stingy! Twenty chips." Yumeko's sweet voice called out as you watched with intent.
"Oh, are things interesting yet, Princess?" Runa tapped your temple, startling you. "Did you like your precious Kaede standing up for you?"
"He is not precious to me." You glared at her.
"There's no need to lie to me." An evil grin crawled on her face. "We all know how special he is to you. In fact, look how dedicated you are to him. Everyone else only gets a few moments of your time. He gets day after day, massive chapters of your life, dedicated to him. Why is that? Is it because of the thing between his legs?"
"NO!" You yelled at her. "I have plenty of other options if that is what I want."
"Oh yes, the regular, muscular boy, sitting over yonder, that you haven't even mentioned or looked at once." She giggled. "Well, then, what about the other council members here? You aren't hardly speaking to them."
"They're sitting further away." You glared at her again. "Runa, stop."
"Stop what? I'm just making observations." The raising of chips began going up by ten chips at a time.
"You are treading on dangerous territory." Another ten chips.
"If you are in love with Kaede Manyuda, then why do you refuse to speak with him?" Even more chips.
"I am no longer in love with him. He betrayed my trust." As you spoke, Yumeko went all in.
"Truly, Yumeko, you never cease to amaze me. You have some nerve. You can't be normal. But you might be someone I could use in my student council." Kaede pushed his glasses up.
"Hold up," You held your hand to Runa. "Did he just said his council?"
"Oh really?" Yumeko smiled.
