12:00pm
Victoria was grinning at the very well-dressed Peverell Dane who was obsessively fixing his already perfect hair in front of a mirror. He was gaping at Victoria, and he stumbled forwards as she chuckled.
"How long have you been there?" Dane asked her.
With a shake of her head, she answered, "Long enough to deduce that you're obsessed with your hair."
"No, that's not." He let out a shaky breath and settled for a beam. "Now that you've known my deepest secret, can we get out of here now?"
Shrugging, she walked ahead of him back to the grand entrance where two valets were already waiting for them. Dane was just a few steps behind Victoria and when he was going to get his car keys too like the woman, she stopped him with a touch on his wrist.
An automatic shiver went down his spine and he felt electrocuted. Victoria was looking at him funny and dropped her hold on him.
"We don't need your car. I'll be driving," she said and Dane's heart wanted to leap out of his chest so badly.
Laughing nervously, he looped his arm on her. "Please don't kidnap me."
"I can't promise you that," she answered. Her eyes shone mischievously against the chandelier above and her face was shining as if glitters were poured on her.
He really loved how she looked.
And he memorized every contour of her face, his fingers itching out to touch the magical woman beside him. As they settled on her car, he muttered a curse under his breath for letting his etiquette dictate his feelings.
