Aidan's pov:

I slowly crawl out of bed and I feel sick. Then I remember Aspen. I start getting ready faster. I run down the stairs and grab some breakfast. I run out the door to catch the bus. It slowly screeches to a stop in front of my house. I get on the bus and quickly slide into my seat.

"Hi!" Olivia says happily, yet tiredly. "If Aspen asks, I had a migraine last night."

"Okay. Got it. Migraine. Nice plan!" I reply.

"Thanks. How was your night?" She asks.

"Sleepless. I got like 4 hours of sleep." I respond after I yawn.

She yawns in response. "Three hours."

"Why?" I ask.

"Wattpad," she says laughing a little.

"Oh. Aspen," I say shyly.

"Aww!"

"Yeah... No. I miss my bed!"

"Me too," she says as Kinzie gets on.

We get off the bus and she links arms with me. I look at her and my face flushes. I am not ready for this. I really like Aspen, but she makes me nervous. I am really worried that my voice will crack. It happened before and it was bad...

"Morning Liv. And Aidan?" Aspen greets as we walk up to her.

"Hey sis! Aidan has something to ask you!" Olivia squeals.

I blush. Guys aren't supposed to blush like I do! It's unnatural! I think.

"Aidan? What do you wanna say?" Aspen prompts.

"Erm... Uh... Later. I promise!" I say as I walk away.

"Okay? See you in band?" She asks me.

"Yeah!" I call back.

"Aidan! You said you were gonna ask her!" Olivia yells.

I walk into the school ignoring the girls. I can't believe I just did that. That was horrible! I'm asking her out in band.

I walk into band and sit down next to Aspen. She looks over at me and I smile. She smiles bam but seems confused.

"You okay?" I ask her.

"Yeah. What happened this morning?" She asks seriously.

"Umm, well. Yeah. I want to know if you'll be my girl friend? I chickened out earlier," I ramble.

"Shh! What did you wanna know?" She says sounding shocked.

"Will you be my girlfriend?" I ask again, blushing. Again with the blushing!

"Well, I guess my answer would be-" she stops mud sentence and looks over at Olivia who is calling her from across the room.

"Can I answer later?" She asks.

I sigh. "Yeah. I guess so..."

"Well, erm, here. I'm gonna start over. That was really rude. I'm sorry. Yes. I would love to be your girlfriend!" She says. She gives me a closed mouth smile.

"Aspen!" Olivia yells. I give her a thumbs up, and she grins and squeals. It was really funny!

After that, we go to our other classes. I got stopped by Paige in the hall.

"Hi Aidan!" She squeals loudly.

"Hello," I sigh.

"So. I was wondering," she starts.

"Yeah? And?" I prompt.

"I was wondering if you would go out with me?" She asks.

I grin. "Sorry! I got a girlfriend," I say proudly.

"Who?" She asks exasperatedly.

"Aspen," I respond.

"Oh," she says scrunching up her face.

"You got a problem with that?" I ask rudely.

"No," she says and walks away. I don't even feel bad. She is seriously annoying!
