The morning came and troy thought that he was dreaming about crickets return. He soon found that it was not a nightmare, but a reality that cricket was back and resting quietly in the living room. Troy knew what he had to do cricket couldn't stay he thought about taking the dog further away hoping that he would not return.

Troy felt bad about putting out the flyers for his missing dog when there were so many missing people who were not found. He knew that they were all dead because of his killer dog and that he was somehow tied to all there deaths. He figured that he would have to hide cricket before someone figured it out about his animal being a killer.
He knew that he could not let the dog outside for any reason. His mind began to play tricks on him he was now visualizing cricket killing anyone who might knock on his door when he was not home. He couldn't stand how is mind somehow did that to him at times. Soon he was out of his daze and now looking directly in the face of the dog he loved so much. He tried his best not to let cricket sense his fear... Hey boy was all he could say while cricket watched his every move. Troy tried to ease himself away from cricket but he had no success in doing so. Cricket wanted to play he jumped on troy and began to lick his face. Troy was scared at first he thought that cricket was going to eat him alive. It was only when he noticed that cricket just wanted his attention that he began to laugh and roll around with him. Troy knew that cricket loved him but he didn't know if the dog would turn on him as well. Some how troy knew that in the end cricket would never hurt him.

Cricket was smart and troy knew that he would have to keep his eyes open when it came to his dog. He bit into his apple wondering what he was going to do next. He looked over at cricket with a half smile on his face as if things were okay... Hey boy he motioned to cricket as he pondered on getting him to the basement for the night. He knew that cricket didn't like to be down there without him by his side. He'd hope that cricket wouldn't whine like the puppy he really was. But to be truthful Troy was scared to have cricket roaming lose while he slept.
