As we're eating lunch, this kid strolls into the cafeteria, grabs lunch, and hurries to an empty table before anyone else can sit there.

"Who's that" I ask Jessica.

"Him? He's a nobody."

"Why do you say that?" I ask her.

"Nobody talks to him and he tries to ignore everybody anyway. He's a total loser."

"How would you know if he's a total loser? Have you ever talked to him before?" I questioned her.

"Are you trying to stick up for him? And why would I talk to him?" Our whole group was staring at us now.

"You know what? I'm going over to talk to him whether you like it or not!"

I grabbed my tray and walked over to him. I put my tray on the table next to him.

"Umm, hi. My name is Paloria and I was wondering if I could sit with you."

"Umm, well, I have to go. So, see you around, bye!"

He quickly got up and walked away. I sat there embarrassed. Everyone was looking at the new kid who just tried sitting with a loser. Great.

As I'm walking home from my first day of school, I see that same kid from earlier today dodging around people. I notice at once that he is trying to go unnoticed. I start to walk over to him, but he spots me and starts to run.

Weird, I mean, nobody has every spotted me before. I don't think he's a total loser, but I don't think he's normal either. I start to follow him, making sure nobody spots me (not even the kid running from me.)

As I'm stalking him, I see my house in the distance. As I look back at the boy, I see him jump over a fence to a huge mansion that I never even realized was there. I mean, you'd think that I would notice something that big across from my house.

I run up to the gate and try to rip the lock off, when it shocks me. I stumble back and try to figure out what's going on. I have never in my life, been shocked before. I've seen people be shocked before, so I'd try it and I wouldn't get shocked.

It's weird what a vampire could and couldn't do. I tried to jump over the fence (or should I say brick wall?) But I was knocked back just like a force field would do. The only thing wrong with that is that force fields don't affect me.

Something fishy was going on here and I was going to find out what.
