"Where are you going?" I was starting to calm down a bit.
"To see Ava." He called over his shoulder.
I ran to catch up with him. When he didn't turn to look at me, I grabbed his arm and kissed him.
"And what was that for, my lady?" He questioned happily.
"That was for you saying that you love me, back there."
I turned to look at him and saw Odin standing in the place Jayden had just been standing. He covered my mouth and put his finger to his lips. When I looked behind me, I saw Rykar holding a bloody Jayden.
"Jayden!!"
I woke up to a hand trying to shake me awake. I jumped back ready to kill, when I saw who it was. It was Jayden and it was night time. Dawn just about to break over the clouds.
"Katerina! Are you ok? You called my name so I ran as fast as I could to get to you. When I saw you sleeping, I thought it was even more major. Are you ok, Katerina?"
He looked worried and so I kissed him. This time hesitating just enough for me to see his amazing face features. When I pulled away, he tried to hold me even closer.
"We need to focus on finding Ava, Jayden."
I wasn't trying to get rid of him, I was just anxious to find my mother.
"Can we at least wait a couple more hours? I already know where she is. How do you think I knew which way to run away from Rykar and Odin?"
I could tell he wanted more than just a kiss; he wanted a lot of kisses.
"We can rest all we want when we find actual shelter."
I made a sideways glance at our stick and leaf hideout. He nodded his head and we packed up.
As we were walking, Jayden was trying to make conversation. It was a couple of hours before I decided to make conversation back.
"You want to tell me your nightmare or no?" Jayden had slowly been leading up to this, I could tell.
"All it was is that we were walking and when I kissed you, you weren't you, you were Odin. And then I looked behind me and Rykar was holding a bloody you."
I started to freak out again, so I looked up at Jayden, and saw that it really is Jayden. I started to calm down again when Jayden puts his arm over my shoulders.
As we are walking, we spot a motel and rush toward it, only to realize it was an illusion. We keep walking and Jayden notices that I'm stumbling, so he puts his arm around my waist and holds most of my weight.
"Don't worry, we're almost there." He chants in a soothing voice.
I mumble something under my breath, and he laughs. I would have laughed to, except that I'm so weak, that I don't even know what I said.
We keep going until neither of us have the strength to move another muscle. Jayden crashes to the ground, still holding me in his arms.
