Alone

Chapter 5

When I awoke, I was in a bedroom with blue walls and clouds painted everywhere.

There was a door; I could just make out the handle. I stood and rushed over to the door. When I touched the handle, something strong blew me back. It felt just like when I tried to jump over the wall.

The door handle turned and in he stepped. He was still wearing the clothes he had worn when he punched me.

"Look who decided to wake up after all." He said soothingly.

He strolled over and helped me up. When he held my gaze, I slapped him.

"What was that for?!" He yelled.

"That, my friend, was for punching me in the face!" I yelled back.

"Let's restart. Hi, my name is Jayden and this is Odin, my brother. We are here to receive you and take you back to Rykar, and your mother, of course."

He smiled at me. He held out his hand and waited for me to take it. When I took his hand, it felt right, somehow.

"Where are we going? Why does my mother and this Rykar guy want me?" I still had a ton of questions for Jayden, and Odin.

"Come and have some blood with us. Odin will explain it all to you." As I walked off, I could just barley understand them.

"Why do I have to explain it to her?" Odin asked.

"You have to explain it to her because I already told her enough on my part." Jayden whispered. They started to turn, so I stalked off.

When they approached, Odin started off calmly, "Look, I know it wasn't nice of Jayden to drag you here without an explanation, but you're in trouble. Your dad isn't your dad. He is a cover up for Swiggy. Swiggy wants to kill you and he has your dad keeping track of you.

"Your dad took you when you were just a little baby and filled lies about your mother into your brain. Your real father is also a vampire. His name is Rykar."

Odin stopped and tossed me a water bottle filled with blood. I soon learned that my fake father's name was Palo. Palo hadn't been moving because of my weird behavior, he had been moving because he was running from Rykar, a hybrid.

I also learned that Palo knew I was the vampiress the whole time. After I was filled in all the way (thanks to Odin), we climbed into their car and took off.
