"You can run, but you can't hide!"
Those words made us run even faster. We dodged trees and cars. As we ran, I could feel a strong force start to enclose around us.
"Run even faster, Katerina!" Jayden screamed at me.
The reason he screamed was because we could barely hear our own thoughts. We ran and ran, running for three days and two nights, nonstop. When we saw a cave, we slowed down.
"I thought you said we were close to my mother back there! How could you lie to me?"
He flinched at my words. I felt bad about him flinching, and hugged him.
"I'm sorry I yelled at you. I guess I was just scared. Do you forgive me?" I asked him pleadingly. He hugged me back.
"I forgive you, my love." Jayden spoke softly to me.
We looked back at the cave and silently agreed to go into the cave. As we walked, we realized it wasn't just any cave. It was a tunnel. We walked a little farther, when a gate came down from behind us.
"Do you think this is another one of Rykar's traps?" Jayden asked worriedly. I looked around and spoke my words carefully.
"I do not think it to be Rykar's traps, but somebody else's trap." I looked around again and spotted a camera.
I shared my finding with Jayden. We then looked back at each other and romantically kissed. There was marching sounding from the cave and then we spotted white uniforms with water bottles attached to the side of belts and the marching woman holding unordinary guns.
"We did it! We made it Katerina! We made it to your mother's layer!"
He was so excited that he was literally jumping around happily. The soldiers stopped right in front of us and bowed.
"Do you see that, Katerina? They are bowing for you. You are a royal vampiress. They respond to your mother and soon they will respond to you." Jayden was yelling cheerfully.
The soldiers split in half and a woman gracefully strolled down the middle.
"Hello, my name is Ava, and you are?" She sounded the exact opposite of I pictured her to sound like.
"My name is Jayden, your majesty, and this here is your daughter, Katerina."
Jayden bowed to her and stepped back. She looked me up and down. Then, she smiled and hugged me.
"Welcome back, daughter. I have missed you so much; you can't even believe how much I have suffered."
A tear rolled down her cheek, but when it was time for the tear to drop, it sparkled and disappeared. The soldiers cheered and so did Jayden.
"I'm sorry to ruin this family reunion, but we still have a ton to talk about. I know what we should talk about! We should talk about how we're going to defeat Rykar. I mean, he is trying to either a: kill Katerina, or b: turn her onto his side." Jayden said annoyingly.
"Your right, Jayden. That is very important. Katerina, we have a lot to talk about, but first we need to come up with a plan." My mom said seriously.
When she was done talking, we walked to her room, all the while watching soldiers turn around corners and also standing guard at some rooms.
