Shuichi's POV
Monokuma was cracking down on Hiraki, that was for sure. Unfortunately, it gave Kokichi enough reason to tell the truth, adding another two hours onto his time. Nineteen more to go.
"Did you really mean that?" I asked as we walked to Angie's studio. "I mean, what you said to Hiraki?" Kokichi gave me a strange look.
"What do you mean, did I mean that? Of course I meant it! A girl in distress needs comfort and I'm not going to give her false comfort, Saihara-kun. I'm not entirely a dick."
Well then.
I shrugged and quickened my pace, reaching the studio before Kokichi. I needed some help cheering Hiraki up and Angie is the go-to for that kind of stuff.
"Angie!" I called as I entered the studio. She looked up and smiled from behind an easel. The large canvas blocked most of her view, so she walked towards us.
"Saihara-kun! Oma-kun! What a pleasant surprise!" She wiped her hands on her apron and grinned. Kokichi peered curiously at the canvas behind her.
"May I see what you are working on?" he asked ever-so politely. Angie smiled and swung her arm out.
"Be my guest. I'm kind of having a little artist's block, so I would greatly appreciate your advice." Kokichi gazed at the piece, looking at it this way and that.
"From what I am seeing," he said as Angie came over to look at it, " the center of the painting is mostly warm colors. Possibly a good contrast would be making the background a bit more cooler in color to get the image to pop a bit more...?" Kokichi frowned, waiting for Angie's response.
"That's a wonderful idea, Oma-kun!" she beamed. She gave a big hug that nearly sent him flying backwards, but he accepted it with a laugh.
"No problem, Angie-san." He gave her a little wave before he left the room. Angie smiled and let out a soft sigh.
"Is it just me or is Oma-kun being really nice today?" she asked, turning towards me. I rolled my eyes and explained the bet to her. She slowly nodded and sat down in front of her painting.
"So, what do you need?" she chirped happily as her brush danced along the canvas.
"It's Hiraki." She let out a small gasp.
"Ohhhhhh, so that's why...." She frowned slightly, an expression that didn't really fit on her face.
"So...I was thinking you could help me do something to cheer her up," I said. She grinned and stood up, knocking over a container of paint, but she took no notice of it.
"A party! We could throw her a party!" she squealed. She spun around happily like a little puppy chasing their tail. "I can make a cake!"
Angie then started babbling about different things and different roles for everyone.
"And then Kokichi and you can make sure she doesn't find out!" I gave her a strange look and she gasped.
"Ohhhhhh...Kokichi's trying not to lie...oh, but he doesn't need to! All he has to do is distract her!" She skipped happily out of the room. I looked at my watch. 6:45 pm. Sixteen hours to go.

Kokichi's POV
"A party for Hiraki?" I asked, confused. Angie grinned.
"Well, Saihara-kun wants to cheer her up, so what better way than a party?"
"And you want me to lie to her?" The word now tasted bitter in my mouth and I spat it out at her.
"No, you don't have to lie. Just distract her with honest stuff." She then leaned forward to whisper in my ear.
<To be honest, I want you to win the bet, so do your best not to lie!> I smiled at her.
"Thank you, Angie-san!"
"The party will start 11:45 am sharp tomorrow," she said with a wink. I grinned.
A few hours later, while Angie was in the kitchen with Tenko making the cake, Hiraki made her appearance. I gritted my teeth. Fourteen and a half hours...fourteen and a half...
"Hey, Kokichi, where's Tenko?" she asked.
"I can't say."
"Kokichi..."
"I'm serious: I can't say."
"But why?"
"I can't say.
"Uggh!" She threw up her hands in frustration and walked out of the room. Success.
The next morning, I was pummeled by Hiraki's constant questioning.
"Where's Gonta?"
"I can't say."
"Where's Angie?"
"I can't say."
"Where's Maki?"
"I can't say."
And once again she stormed away in frustration.
I headed to the cafeteria to check on the other's progress. Perfect. I watched the clock as the last few minutes of the twenty-four hours ticked away. The instant 11:45 hit, I grinned victoriously at Shuichi and headed out to find Hiraki.
"Where is everyone?!" she snarled once I found her. I threw up my hands in defense.
"They are all in the cafeteria," I said. She ran off and I had to sprint to keep up with her.
"H-hey...why is it dark?" she stammered as I slipped behind her to my hiding spot. She fumbled for the switch and flicked on the lights. We all jumped up and shouted, "SURPRISE!" She shrieked in delight, flinging herself at me to give me a hug.
"So that's why you wouldn't tell me!!!" she squealed. I grinned at Shuichi again and he turned fifty shades of red.
The party was an absolute success. Miu got drunk and did a little table dance. Kiibo, the poor guy, got attacked by girls. Even Shuichi was able to have some fun.
But what I was really looking forward to was tonight...
