Chapter 41:Let's take a break

Chapter 41

Destiny's POV

"Destiny, wake up" I groan as I hid under the covers.

"Give me 10 more minutes" I said with muffle voice. He chuckle as I feel the space beside me deepen.

"You said that 15 minutes ago. C'mon, you need to get ready" sighing, I slowly removed the covers off of me and looked at him with a confused look.

"What do you mean? where are we going anyways?"

"We're going home, remember? " I quickly got out of the covers and stood up, making me dizzy by my sudden movement. I heard Niall chuckle before going to his luggage and getting something.

I quickly took a shower and decided to wear my denim hight- waist shorts partnered with my pink hanging blouse and a gray sneakers. I put on a minimal make-up (which includes: blush, lip stick, mascara and foundation).

I quickly got out of the bathroom all ready and faced a smiling Niall staring at the television. Feeling lazy to do anything with my hair, I put it on a very messy bun. Niall got both of out luggage and we both begin walking. Silence filled the air, but its not one of those awkward silence, its comfortable actually.

"...and that's how your grandfather and I got together" Granny- my dad's mom- said. She told me that story for, like a thousand times! Well, maybe I'm over exaggerating, but see my point? Since I was young, she's been telling me and my brother, especially me, how they met and how they ended up together.

Apparently, Granny and Grandpa were a total stranger. Granny was a new student and she's new in town. They weren't close at first, in fact, they don't even talk to each other. They only exchange "Thank you's" when one will do something nice to another. And a lot of "Sorry's" everytime one will just accidentally hit or step on one's foot, even if its just a slightest touch on each other's skin and they'll be apologizing at one another- especially Grandpa. But after a week and a few days, they became close. It just happened so fast, they became best friends and the next thing you know, Granny fall for Grandpa. But she wanted to forget her feelings for him, seeing he's her best friend and for an unknown reason, she just wanted to forget her feelings for him but it seems too impossible because Grandpa was a very sweet man, and he frequently compliment her. In the end, Granny didn't succeed in forgetting her feelings for Grandpa. And then, BOOM! Grandpa confessed to Granny that he loves her and they got together.

My grandparents' story really fantasize and amaze me. Those love stories are very rare.

"Destiny!" I woke up from my trance when Niall called out my name from the kitchen.

I heard my granny chuckle before saying, "Ah, young love" I just smiled at her before standing up and checking on Niall.

I found him on the phone talking to someone, and he looks so serious and... nervous?

"I know... yeah, of course... but what if-...fine...Yeah, be there in ten... Thanks, bye" I just stood there by the doorway that's seperating the kitchen from the living room.

I didn't mean to listen to his conversation to whoever he's talking to, but I cant help but wonder why Niall sounds so nervous...

Niall hung up the phone and sighed. When he turn around and saw me, he seemed so shock but it was quickly replaced by a smile. I smiled back and walked over to him.
