I never hated waterguns until that day.
Until that no-time-to-dodge moment when I received the whole class’ shots of mixed disgusting liquid on every part of me. I was so stupid to even think their waterguns contained pure water. I was never told before that it could be anything. Never prepared myself for squirts of mustard, honey, mayonaise, soysauce and other unthinkable edible and disguting sticky liquid you could never think of loading into waterguns.
At least there was one who was using a watergun with actual water.
Zeke. How greatful I was for a little compensation. How damn stupid I was to think that he’s nice enough to trust when he offered me his seat awhile ago. Was he even serious, then? I doubt it now that he looked like having so much fun squirting water on me with his gun.
What did this class take me for? I was Raven McQuillen. I was untouchable from the schools I previously attended. Hardly anyone got in my way because everyone knew what I was capable of, who my allies were and where would be their place if they try and oppose me. Of course, I gave them the benefit of the doubt since this morning, with that bunch of students who verbally bullied me, because no one really knew me in this school. Not yet. Still, what was happening now was a stench on my dignity and reputation. Immediately, I broke lose of my temper. I knew I was no match with their number and it would be pointless but I still did it to save my trampled ego. I countered their attacks, aiming at the ones nearest to me which were Zeke and the annoying blonde. Oh, hail with my watergun that squirted clear liquid. Of all the disgusting stuff they had thought to put in their silly toys, I got the most deadly. Pure water. Just like Zeke’s. Did he actually give it on purpose? To make fun of me?
It was after a few minutes that I realized that my failed attempts of countering their guns were pointless so I just stopped and let them all took me for a moment. All of them were enjoying the sight of me losing it. They uttered teases, laugh their head offs and starting to battle each other, too but most of them were still focused on me. I caught the glimpse of Jaq, the only girl in the class at the back. She had a gun on her hand and was actually enjoying the game they were playing out but she wasn’t aiming at me at all. She was preoccupied playing with the others. I completely forgot about her since they played out this silly game. I didn’t even know if she also targeted me before she targeted a different person. But who cares about that now? She was still belongs to this class. And I hated this class. Therefore I hated her, too. I could feel the disgusting mixture of liquids on my skin and on my clothes that were already damped. They were all over me. I could imagine myself now infront of a mirror; my dark brown hair covered in mayonaise and honey, probbly some cheese syrup? I could all smell them. And my face, I was probably unrecognizable now. Almost everyone was targeting it. I wasn’t at all the typical conscious teenage girl but with all these sticky and smelly things all over me, at least I feel a bit bad about it.
Why are you tolerating it, anyway? A part of me questioned. You could easily let them know you’re the owner’s daughter and have them all expelled for putting up this silly prank.
As if I would do it. Keeping a low profile was my priority in this school. I won’t be going and screaming around who I was in this school for the sake of being saved from pranks and bullies. Depending on others and using my status wasn’t really my nature. That isn’t me.
After debating whether I would stay and wait for all of it to end or to make a quick escape to the rest room, I decided for the latter. Wiping off some sticky liquid n my face with the back of my hand, I hurried my way to the door. Some shouted for me to stop. That I was ruining their fun. One even grabbed my arm and tried to forced me to stop but I was in no mood to be provoked. I yanked my arm away and push the boy with a force I didn’t intended to be that powerful. But the push made him dive on the floor backwards. I didn’t bother to see if he’s alright. Seeing that I took down one of them, a few who were planning on blocking the doorway sidestepped as I passed by them.
