Ross' POV:

Laura and I decided to go to the park we both usually go to, to talk about something seriously.

This is most likely our territory. Only the both of us go here.. The park is quite old which is why it's not a people's place.

We both sat down on the swing with the beautiful lake right infront of our eyes. We sat there quietly for about 5 minutes while swinging back and forth.

"So.. your mystery girl huh? When were you going to tell me this?" she asked, finally breaking the silence.

"Well, there are some things I have to keep to myself." I said, smiling at her.

"I know everything about you! I know you more than you do!" she protested.

"I guess, I'm keeping to this to myself." I smirked.

"Just tell me her name, so I can help you out with her." she said, looking away from me as she bit her lower lip.

It hurt a lot that she's willing to help me date someone. She clearly doesn't like me that way. Love sucks.

Laura's POV:

"Just tell me her name, so I can help you out with her."

As the words left my mouth, I looked away from him.

I knew I was lying. I knew I won't be able to find the strength to possibly help him be with someone, I'd break down.

Pretend. That's what I gotta do. Our friendship means so much to me and I wouldn't risk anything that will ruin it.

"Um, I'd rather ask Rydel for some dating advice." he chuckled.

"I'm a girl! I know what girls like. C'mon!" I said as I playfully pushed him but he just shrugged.

"I'll get it out of you somehow." I said crossing my arms as I leaned back to the swing.

"How about you? Any guy you like?" he asked, biting his lip.

My cheeks burned red, speechless to answer. It's a good thing that it's already 10pm and it's very dark outside so he can't see my tomato colored cheeks.

"Um, I don't.. uh.. like someone." I stuttered.

"Really? You're such a goody- two- shoes!" he joked which we both laughed at.

After a couple minutes, my eyes were beginning to shut down. I rest my head on Ross' shoulder and closed my eyes.

"Sleepy?" he asked. I nodded, too sleepy to talk. "C'mon, let's go home" he said, shaking me.

"Carry me to your car." I said with my eyes half open.

"We walked on our way here, remember?" he said, laughing at my reaction.

Suddenly, he turned around and got on one knee.

Is he gonna propose to me or am I just reaaaaaalllyyyy sleepy?

"C'mon hop on my back, I'll carry you." he said.

My sleepy eyes grew wide because of his invitation.

"Silly! I'll walk" I insisted.

"I'd rather carry you for 15 minutes than have you walking like a drunk girl and get accidentally hit by a car and losing my bestfriend that I love more than myself, so hop on now, my knee's hurting!" he explained.

Butterflies invaded my stomach. He is the sweetest. I shrugged and got on his back. I wrapped my arms around his neck and rested my cheek on it.

"I'm heavy, Ross." I said with my eyes closed.
