   Devon's POV

"Do it kid." The big one seethed. He was meaty, tall and his teeth had taken one too many beatings. I shook my head lazily and shrank away from the men.

One of the smaller guys sneered at me though his greying bangs, "Fine, guess she dies then." He breathed, pulling a small revolver out of his back pocket and placing it by her temple.

The girl shut her eyes and her lips began to quiver, she was tall, unhealthily thin and her long blonde hair was dirty and matted. So fragile, so scared...

"Don't." I whispered weakly, "just- I- I don't want to-" my body was trembling.

The poor girl was thrust at me, the gun still securely placed by her temple. Her blue eyes opened and she looked towards me, my heart ached at the sight. A girl who wasn't scared of being raped, she looks as though she's had her fair share of incidents, but a girl who was scared of death nonetheless. Despite her awful history.

I shook my head again and stepped back, praying for one of the pedestrians passing by to intervene. Do something. But what could they do to against three guys with guns?

I tucked my hand into my back pocket and fondled with my phone, begging it to dial someone, anyone.

The man glared at me, marched forward and bought the knife down on her face. Her scream was deafening, the noise seared into my brain-

"Boss!" A few bangs followed. Groaning, I sat up, my wound stinging as I moved. Parker marched in shortly after, not waiting for invite.

My brows knitted together as he stormed over, "What's the problem?" I asked wearily. Parker's hair was messy and scattered across his forehead, his eyes were still heavy with sleep and he was sporting his incredibly stylish pyjama pants.

"We know why he attacked." He said bluntly, "and it wasn't to try to execute any of us. Considering the worst injury was a broken rib..." he motioned to his bruised side and grimaced.

There was a moment of silence before Parker dragged his hand through his hair and sighed, "We think they placed a spy in the house." He breathed.

"What?" I gasped, "clarify what you mean by spy?" I spluttered, rising from my bed, "a-a member of our gang, a stranger a-" my heart was pounding, my whole gang was in danger. Aria was in danger.

Before Parker could reply, I barged past him. Nobody was around, they were all probably in bed, I didn't check the time but Parker's attire gave it away, not to mention the lack of light streaming in from the windows.

I made a b-line for Aria's room. The fear was consuming me as I neared the door, it was slightly ajar and the light was off. I picked up the pace, sprinting towards the door with Parker on my heels.

My palms slapped against the door as I burst into the room. A very scared Aria was cradling her knees on the bed. She was still wearing the same thing she wore earlier when I left her. Her hair was sticking out in crazed directions as if she had dragged her hand through it multiple times. Her eyes were wide with fear as she watched us lingering in the doorway, her body trembling.

"T-they... There's someone h-here!" She sobbed, concealing her face behind her knees. My heart clenched at the sight, I turned to Parker.

"Wake the guys up, start searching." I ordered, Parker's eyes lingered on Aria for a moment before clenching his jaw and walking away. I slowly slipped into the room. I shut the door gently behind me and approached her. Her head was still concealed behind her knees as sobs racked her body.
