The Succubus and the Thief

Continuing on our journey we passed through swamps and tall trees the forest truly was full of traps that doesn't involve trapping physically yet it traps you mentally. Just like the trap under the sycamore tree where me and Vlad barely saved the others from falling into that trap. Normally when we ventured out we would just go in together now we were cautious of our surroundings.

Most of the time we send our thief Lupin to look for he was fast and nimble as a rat. We were saved countless of times from falling into a trap because of his efforts even though sometimes he got caught in some himself. In those cases we casually save him for he was one of the weakest of both will and strength in our group.

The Black king ordered his men to hasten the fortification of the defenses to prevent further infiltration for the mercenary group of ruffians have already ventured nearly half way through the forest.  He thought hard and long and he found the solution. He called upon Alice the succubus guarding the forest. Literally most adventurers who have went in this forest was to see this beautiful woman. That's said has the ability to make your dreams come true in the stake of not getting out alive.

So the Black king called upon her "Alice, venture out to the forest and stop those people daring to go into my realm."

Alice smiled upon hearing the news and spread her dark angelic wings and flew towards the forest and await for our arrival. As usual Lupin lead us in the whole journey but as he never signaled to us if either it was clear to go or not we directly took measures.
We slowly move forward while assessing our suroundings  then to our shock we found him.

He was there casually chatting with a beautiful woman dressed in black revealing her fair long legs. As we saw this scene we have different reactions Jason was irritated that he neglected his duty just to talk with a woman, Sebastian was shocked at the beauty of the woman of her fair white skin and great figure which made the wife of the duke she served inferior to her. While me and Vlad upon seeing the scene our jaws dropped and looked at each other.

I started to whisper with Vlad asking "Is that what I think it is a succubus?"
Vlad looked perplexed and confused when I said those words as if I was mistaken and not see that it is part of the legends. Though he didn't bother correcting me we continued to observe from a safe distance. Vlad then replied asking me "Shall we help him though he is good as dead."

I thought hard and long in what he said and finally I said to the others "I am going in." As the others heard this they got themselves ready of any danger that comes in their way especially Jason when he thought to himself 'A woman who ventured this deep into the forest and survived without anyone with her I need to ask that thief about her situation and of her origin'.

We came out of hiding together and approached Lupin talking to the fair beautiful lady  and we were about to call upon him as Sebastian hurriedly came in front of the woman knelt down and   kissed her fair white hands  in respect. Though seeing this act of Sebastian the woman didn't even flinch and turned her attention back to Lupin.

Sebastian who was denied felt sad of the result so Jason came in laughing  and told her "You are only set to belong to one person you better not be swayed for I bet you still have a little service left with your mistress." Sebastian smiled and looked at Lupin in awe deep in her heart wishing him to have a good relationship with that woman.

I and Vlad went near and asked Lupin "Lupin do you still remember us?' Lupin looked at the rest with a contemplating look and replied "Ofcourse you dumbsh*ts, oh by the way this is Alice she also ventured out into the forest with the same reason as ours." I doubted what he said and so I observed him properly and realized he was not under the influence of magic and as Lupin said those words Alice revealed to us all that we were caught in a trap in a form of a huge bird cage as she revealed her true colors. I then ascertain myself indeed it is a succubus as everyone stared in shock and awe Vlad crept a feint smile as he saw this scene.
