~about a week later~
Freddy stared at the wall of his room.
"Where should we go from here?" he thought, not entirely sure how comfortable he felt with the fact that his secret was out. He was so deep in thought that it was several minutes before he noticed the loud knocking at his door.
"Freddy? Freddy? I know you can hear me, Fazbear," the voice sounded like... Foxy? But.... what about his accent?
Freddy shook the thought off and walked over to the door, opening it to indeed see Foxy standing outside.
"Yes, Foxy?" the brunette asked.
"It's about Bonnie," the fox said curtly, before half trying to push pash Freddy into his room. The brunette frowned, but didn't move from the door.
"What about him?" Freddy asked, narrowing his eyes a bit.
"Well. There's something you need to know. Y-"
"Heya Foxy! Whatcha doing? Oh, hey Freddy." Chica suddenly asked from behind the fox, startling him.
"I'm... I'm talking to Freddy... isn't it obvious?" Foxy snapped, turning to face her.
Chica tilted her head slightly, studying him. She glanced at Freddy, then, noting his clearly defensive attitude, looked questioningly at Foxy.
"Uh.... well.... okay.... Anyway, I was looking for ya 'cause I wanted you to help me out in the kitchen. Food related stuff, obviously."
"Oh... I.... uh..... um.... sure... I guess." the fox stuttered, not bothering to hide the annoyance on his face.
Chica's innocent, peppy attitude returned,"What's up with you? You're not using your accent. Something's clearly up. But hey, it's not my business is it? Haha nope. Well, meet me in the kitchen in 5, m'kay?"
Without waiting for a response, Chica turned and slipped away, humming a cheery tune to herself. Foxy turned back to Freddy, narrowing his eyes.
"We'll discuss this later," he hissed, before whirling around and storming off after Chica.
"Freddy?" another voice asked quietly. The brunette sighed," What?" but it was barely a question. His annoyance faded, however, when he saw that the voice had come from Bonnie. The bunny stood a few feet away, staring at the ground.
"Oh, hey." Freddy said, his gaze softening.
"Hey." Bonnie said quietly. Without looking up at the bear, he flicked his ears in the direction of Freddy's room, silently asking for permission to enter. Freddy nodded, taking a step backwards and out of the doorway.
"Sure." he said.
Without response, Bonnie walked past the brunette over to stand next to his neatly made bed. He waited until the bear had closed the door to sit down.
"You ok, Bon?" Freddy asked, sitting down next to the bunny.
"...I don't know..."
Freddy sighed, gently pulling Bonnie closer to him, until the bunny was curled up in his lap. He gently pet the bunny's purple hair, trying to calm him.
Suddenly, Bonnie pulled away from Freddy, tears in his eyes. The bunny lowered his ears, shaking slightly.
"Why should I even deserve you? You're too good for me. All I've done for you is made your life awkward for you. Is that what a true love would do. Is that even what a true friend would do?" Bonnie asked, sobbing as his voice rose higher and higher.
