~two days later~
"Are you sure you're ok?" Natalie asked, gently clinging to Nicky's arm. The pair were walking though the streets of the town, wandering in no particular direction.
"I'm fine," the bunny snapped, turning away slightly. Natalie noted that he seemed upset with himself for having snapped at her. But, whatever he did, Natalie knew that he still loved her. She was one of the few people he trusted. All he needed was to get away from that house for a while. Away from... him. But not alone. Natalie couldn't trust him to be alone, especially not anymore. He was too unstable; it wasn't safe. All those years had taken their toll. It hurt to see him this way. They had to do something... right?
"You need to-" Natalie started, before being cut off.
"What? Stand up to him? You expect that to work?" Nicky growled," It's not like it's ever worked before. Why would it now? Especially now that I'm an adult. It's certainly not like I can just have Sh-"
"Nicky." a different voice interrupted the bunny's rant. He startled, having immediately recognized the voice.
"How... interesting to run into you here... now, isn't it?" the voice said calmly.
As much as he didn't want to, Nicky turned around. He saw exactly what he expected- his brother. Specifically his older brother.
"What. Do. You. Want?" Nicky snapped, narrowing his eyes.
"Oh, me? I was just taking some time to myself, you know? Away from everyone. You know I don't like to be the center of attention. I just thought it was a somewhat... strange coincidence running into you two here, especially after... the recent events..." ShaBonnie's tone perfectly matched his younger brother's usual fake sugary sweetness.
"ShaBonnie, I fucking swear to-" Nicky growled.
"Ah. Ah. Ah. I don't think so," the smaller bunny smirked," Not in your condition. Don't even think about it."
"And how would you know what kind of condition I'm in?"
"Reminder that I know a lot more about you than I think you realize or remember that I know. Another reminder of who you would go to for comfor-"
Nicky said nothing, but Natalie suddenly interrupted ShaBonnie. She could sense this would end poorly if it continued.
"Yes, well, I'm quiet certain that Nicky can take care of himself. Now... I know you prefer your solitude, but don't you have some stuff back home you should be taking care of?"
ShaBonnie narrowed his eyes for a moment. He wasn't just here by chance. He had something he wanted to test. But, fine. He would play that game. You could never know exactly when he'd be hiding in the shadows anyway.
"Actually no. But I'll leave you alone. However, I expect youll make the right decisions here in a bit. If you hurt him, reminder that I will be hanging around. I'm trusting you. Make the right choice."

"What exactly does he think he's doing?" Nicky had been noticeably more upset after his brother had mentioned their past together as children. It was a sensitive topic, Natalie knew, and ShaBonnie had definitely touched a nerve; probably on purpose too.
"Well... he's worried about you I guess..." she said quietly.
"Yeah? And? He didn't exactly try to stop me from leaving, did he?"
Natalie kept quiet. She knew what had happened. She was about to maybe try to tell him, but before she could break the silence, Nicky's phone beeped.
