Please Give Me My Lover Back

*Poe's P.O.V .*
I paced my room wondering how the hell I'm going to fix this. I could buy her flowers.....no that was to generic and a her love ment more to me than a couple of plants. I heard a knock on my door and looked over to see Finn who said

"You're needed on the bridge" I got up and followed him not bothering to ask why. When I got to the bridge I saw y/n and Leia waiting for me.
"Whats the situation" I asked
There is a transport vessel for the First Order traveling through the Corporate sector. We have been tipped off that there will be light defenses and no backup planned." Leia said.
"An easy target" I said with a smile.
"Maybe a little too easy" Leia said reprimandingly and then continued the briefing. All the while i couldn't help noticing how y/n was barely acknowledging me. She never did so much as look my way. Each time I looked over at her expecting a smirk or laugh and saw her looking strait ahead not noticing me it was like someone was repeatedly stabbing me in the heart over and over with a lightsaber. I wanted to scream and tell her I loved her, tell her I didn't want it to be this way, beg for mercy if I had to, anything for just a sign, just a small sign that said she loves me.  Those 15 minutes were pure torture and agony for me like nothing I had ever experienced before. I'd take the First Order's crazed torture over this anytime just please give me my lover back....please.

~~~~~Time Skip to the Mission ~~~~~

*Poe's P.O.V.*
As I got into my x-wing I couldn't think of anything else but y/n. Her loving smile, her scarlet blush when I complemented her. The way she let nothing stand in her way. The way she would never let her feelings get in the way of her duty, the way she always seemed unbreakable....but now I know better, everyone can be broken, but some hide it better than others and I would never make that mistake again. As we shot into hyperspace I promised myself that I would do what ever was godamned necessary to get y/n back I'd  walk through hell if she gave the word. I'd do anything and everything just get her back. As we jumped put of hyperspace I tried to focus on the mission at hand.
"Red squadron follow my lead" I said as we veered towards the transport vessel. When we were in range I called out

"Open fire and watch out for any returning fire". The squadron opened fire, but so did the vessel and thousands upon thousands of the fighters that were waiting for us. It was a trap. I veered and dodged tie fighters while attempting to fire at the vessel. I looked over to my right and saw y/n locked in a desperate battl3 with 3 tie fighters. She kept trying to shake them off,  but they always caught up and got closer.....and closer...and closer......the universe slowed down and sped up at the same time. Before I knew what I was doing I was flying full speed to where y/n was. Any tie fighters that came near me got shot out of the air in a millisecond. As I neared y/n I shot once....the first tie fighter got obliterated....twice....there goes the second....I shot a third, then forth and they both exploded, but my fifth........missed it's mark.  The tie fighter got closer and closer sealing her fate with every movement. I was stricken with loss and anger and something else I couldn't quite place

"Y/n I've loved you since the day I first layed eyes on you and have never stopped loving you since. I'd do anything to save you to even be near you and I was a complete idiot and I never should have hurt you I can't tell you how sorry I am and I'll always always love you and you will always be the girl that stole my heart" I spilled out quickly. But then a miracle happened. To this day I still don't know how she did it. Somehow she must have rotated her cannons and spun around as she

The
Tie
Fighter
Straight
On.
We both whooped with joy as we saw that the rest of the fleet had boomed the vessel and most of the tie fighters had been shot and the rest were finished up quickly.

"Good job red squadron, let's go home" I said happily, but I think I might have heard a few snickers on the line but I didn't really care. We jumped into hyperspace and lived happily ever after.

Just kidding the story doesn't end here. Not yet. There was more to come.
