Breakout

You ran through the halls like hell itself was chasing you... and in a way it was.......
You saw Jess as you neared the hangar.
"Hey y/n!" She said.
"Jess...It's...really...important...have...you...seen...poe.."you said between gasps.
"Last night I saw him out here"
"He said he had some kind of mission or something" she said suspiciously.
"Dammit" you cursed.
"Did he tell you anything at all??" You asked.
"No, not much, just that the mission was top secret" she said shrugging
"Okay Thanks!" You said already running towards your x-wing. You jumped inside, put on your helmet. (SAFETY FIRST Y'ALL)
You started the main thrusters, mapped out you hyperspace cors3 and was lifting off as a figure started running towards you. It was Leia.
"Don't do this (y/n)" she yelled already issuing commands to close the planetary sheild.
"I'm sorry, I have to" you yelled as you took off. You didn't have time to think or to regret the decision you had made. The shield was closer to closing with every passing millisecond. But then you saw your timid friend Rose in the tower. She was messing with the inner controls and somehow stopped the shield from closing completely. As you rocketed past you saw her give a thumbs up to which you replied with a salute. You made it out of the planet's gravitational pull and engaged the hyperdrive. Soon you were flying through space at the speed of light. You could only wonder what and who you would find on Jakku......
