Chapter 10 - Dinner

I am sorry for such a late update, I have had been enjoying my vacations and then been busy with studies and school assignments and all that stuff . But I am back and faster updates now .

Daniel told me about his secret . 

CHAPTER 10 - DINNER

Daniel , Daniel and Daniel….no ! I am not repeating myself or its some word error but this is what is on my mind right now or rather from past 3 days since he confessed his deep dark secret about the past. He just couldn’t say it out cause he didn’t want any sympathy from me.  I promised him that his secret is my secret and  I will make sure that no one knows about it.

Unfortunately, I made a promise and forgot that I had a best friend named Nat who is going to figure out or make my say it out loud to her . Or maybe she understands and she won’t say anything . Possibility of second one is slightly less but I know if I hold on to her and make her understand she will. After all she was my bestie.

The school is going great, my friends are pretty much comfortable with Dan now and things are going great . I now go to class with Daniel whenever we have it together .  Mom liked Dan but she also wanted me to not get hurt and so was with Nat . Nat was very much experienced with guys , she could have any guy she wanted and it had always been like that .

Today was another day when I slept early exhausted by my jog .

*NEXT MORNING* -

I was sleeping calmly, but as the usual routine goes, Nat banged my door open and sat by my side and shouted on top of her lungs - "MMAAAIIIRRAAA!!!!!!!" Trust me she shouts so loudly that even the devil's must cry!

 I know , its similar to you , but this is how Nat is. And trust me if one day I am all deaf , she is surely going to accompany me  , I will make sure of that no matter what I have to do…huh!

I picked my phone from the side stool and it was 10:00 a.m. which was Way too late seeing the fact that I slept at 10:00 am last night.

I rubbed my eyes trying to see through my sleepy haze and found her near my bed looking all happy as if she didn't just wake me up from deep slumber. I glared at her and muttered trying to guess the reason and this is what I get in return

 “ I came to pick you up for school but then it was early so , I decided to chat with your mom and  then we heard  a car near your drive way , I peeked out and its Daniel waiting outside for you . HURRY UP AND GO TO SCHOOL WITH HIM  , AND ONCE U LEAVE THEN ONLY I CAN LEAVE….SO LEAVE THE BED . NNNOOWW! “

I replied hurrying out – “please pick something for me to wear to clothes and leave the room, I will be out in 10 mins … let me take a bath..” I hugged her and said good morning…and rushed in the bathroom.

Nothing much could be expected from her , she picked a green tube top with the shortest black shorts for me , I am sure she was totally crazy ! I swapped it with a white tank top and added a black shrug and a pair of black jeans and  matched it with flip flops . I picked up my bag and rushed for breakfast . I grabbed a sandwich and gobbled it up quickly .

My mom looked at me  and hugged me , she whispered – ‘ good morning dear , have a great day and take care “ .

Daniel was waiting outside the car, he hugged me and wished me good morning . He opened the passenger side door for me with a smile and started the engine. All the way , we talked and chatted about our school assignments and projects and just cracked silly jokes but still laughed at them .

When we reached , he took off his way to his friends while I went to the library. But wait, can your friends let you go like that .. I was stopped by my friends and squeezed to some Maira shake with their morning wishes . I finally found my way to escape and went to library . I pulled out my phone as I had saved the names of the books I wanted in it while discussing with Daniel. I had a message from Daniel and it was sent a while back – meet me in the canteen in 15mins.

Crap , I was late as per that .. I rushed towards the canteen and my mind was all puzzled that why the hell is he calling me like this when why just met and what is so important . I saw him sitting on the bench outside and I sat with him. But before I could say anything he said  - “ I am sorry to call you but just wanted to ask you . I hope you will say a yes”.

I asked him to go ahead and ask .

“Today is Friday and tomorrow is Saturday . Will you , Will you go out for a dinner with me please. Just one I promise and I will make sure you reach back on time. Please Maira. “  he shooted the words out hurriedly and he was so nervous.

I laughed at first seeing his expression. But then I said – “ calm down , yes,yes,yes , I would love to go out with you only if we can stay alive after being late for our class “ .

We saw the time and laughed and then rushed towards are classes , luckily we were excused as our teacher wasn’t present and we had a substitute teacher .

I had a great day and I went back home with Nat and I told her  about the dinner.

Her reaction was as expected – she rushed to my mom and this is all she could say – “ aunty , I guess you need to eat something sweet as  Daniel asked Maira for a dinner  tomorrow night “ .

My mom’s smile just vanished . She came and held me shoulder’s and looked into my eyes .

She said in a sad tone – “ dear , I am sorry . but tomorrow we have to be at a party and you need to come with us . It’s a formal thing and I am sorry . But you can go with im if you want. I will not stop you  “ .

I felt bad , I hugged my mom and said – “ it’s alright , I will accompany you and no need to be sorry , you are my mom. You have always forgiven my for my mistakes and you are saying sorry for something which is not even your fault . just calm down mom . I love you “

And now I don’t know what to do , rather how to say this to Daniel that I can’t meet him tomorrow . And when I asked Nat to help me out , she asked for some time to think but I doub’t she will come up with something good.  I can call or text him but I don’t want to hurt him. I don’t know what on earth I am going to do.

Should I ask mom and still try and go with Daniel rather than that party >?
