"You look like a wreck."
Napatingala siya sa pinagmulan ng boses. Alam niyang he's way past his drinking limit, but he doesn't care. Tonight- he just wants to drown in his misery.
Kaya naman hindi niya maaninag ng maayos ang mukha ng lumapit sa kaniya. Ngunit alam ni Dominic na isa itong babae, sa laki ba naman ng harapan, at sa hugis ng damit - tama babae nga ang lumapit sa kaniya.
"And you are?" Neutral na sagot niya sa estranghero. Hindi niya ito kilala but he doesn't care.
"Nobody. I'm just here out on a drink." At sinenyasan ng babae ang bartender. Hindi alam ni Dominic kung bakit siya ngumisi. Maybe this is just the perfect timing. Right now he doesn't care. After all, he just lost his world when his long-time girlfriend rejected his proposal, so what does he have to lose?
Wala ng makakapigil sa kaniya if he goes back to his old ways. After all, minsan lang nga nagseryoso, ginago pa.
"You know what? I'm feeling really lucky today. Need some company? I want to buy you a drink." Makahulugang sambit niya sa babae.
Mukhang hindi naman ito nagulat. Bagkus ay tinaasan pa siya nito ng kilay.
What's wrong with this woman? She looks like she knows the drill. Isip ni Dominic.
"No, as I said you already look like a wreck. Instead of drinking, I want to play." At ngumiti ito.
Hindi alam ni Dominic kung ano ang plano ng babae, but tonight he just didn't want to care. He needs somebody, anybody. Ilulusot niya na ang lahat just to ease his pain. If the drinking won't do, then somebody's company might do.
"What kind of game?" Bulong niya, marahan siyang lumapit sa babae, hindi naman ito natinag kahit na mukhang pumasok na siya sa personal space nito. Hindi pa rin maaninag ni Dominic ang mukha ng babae dahil sa kalasingan, but her body is surely stirring up emotions in him.
"A bet."
Natawa si Dominic. Alam niyang maswerte siya, siguro ilang pustahan na rin siguro ang napanalunan niya. "What kind of bet miss?"
"Let's flip a coin. Choose wether heads or tails. Bibigyan kita ng leverage na ikaw ang unang pipili kung ano iyo. If it tossed to your side of the coin, then you win if it's mine then you lose. Simple as that."
"And if you-lose?"
Narinig niyang napasinghap ang babae.
"One night...I'll just give you one..."
Natawa si Dominic. What a slut this woman was! She was willing to give her purity over a toss of coin!
"And if I -lose?"
At dito ngumiti ng misteryoso ang babae.
"You'll give that ring in your pocket to me, marry me here in Vegas, and stay with me for a year. I don't give away my virginity for a low price Mr. Arellano."
