"It depends." Bryony stated, as Sal's eyebrows softened. He looked at her, his breath caught in his throat, anticipating her to continue.

"On what?"

"On whether you really do want to be here for the baby." She answered quietly.

Sal's heart fell in his chest, as his eyes shifted to the table. He didn't know how to respond to the girl, as he wracked his brain for an answer. Bryony watched him, as he swallowed hard, his hand resting along the table top. She brought her hand to sit atop of his, squeezing it reassuringly, as a silence consumed them both, before Sal nodded his head.

"Of course I do..." He announced. Sal moved from his seat in the booth, moving round to take a seat next to Bryony, as he let his arm rest along the back of the booth. He hesitated, soon placing his hand to her baby bump. Bryony moved her hand onto Sal's, as she turned to him, a small smile playing on her lips. "I love you, and I love our baby."

Sal leant in, placing a kiss to her cheek, slowly inching his way closer to her lips. He kissed her, slow and sensual, before pulling away. A cheeky smile played on his lips, as a laugh escaped him, causing Bryony to catch on. She chuckled, as Sal rested his forehead against hers, letting his eyes lock onto the grey irises staring back at him. He paused, when he felt a kick against the palm of his hand. Sal slowly shifted his gaze down to her baby bump, shock overwhelming his system. "Did he just-?"

"That's never happened before!" Bryony exclaimed, an excited laugh passing her lips. She reached her other hand over his, as they felt another kick from the baby.

"This is...w-wow...that's our boy in there!" Sal beamed.

Bryony leant across, catching Sal's lips in hers, kissing him like she had never kissed him before, pushing him back against the seat, as she brought her hand to wrap around his neck. Sal pulled away for air, his teeth biting at his lower lip, letting his hand become tangled amongst her hair.

"So, is that a yes?" He blushed, as Bryony laughed, nodding her head.

"How could I say no?" She smirked, sitting back.

Sal smiled at her, before his eyes fell onto the window, seeing six pairs of eyes staring at them. He gasped, as Bryony turned to see what he was looking at, a wild blush staining against her cheeks, as she saw their friends watching over them, mocking the kiss that had happened between the couple.

Joe pulled at Brian's arm, spinning him around, before dipping him back, pretending to kiss him. Sal's lips tightened, attempting to stifle his anger, as his cheeks flushed a bright red, and his hand coiled up into a fist. Through the window, he could see Beth, Rachel, and Bessy standing back, shaking their heads at their boyfriends making fools of themselves. James hopped onto Joe's back, acting all lovingly towards the boy, until he was pulled off by Brian. He held Joe's hand, as they mockingly swung their arms back and forth, skipping around in a circle.

"Come on." Sal spoke, as he stood from the booth, taking Bryony's hand in his. He walked her hastily out of the restaurant, storming out to the parking lot. He made his way over to the group, who were too busy in their mocking to see that Sal and Bryony had moved from their spots inside. "Hey!"

Brian, Joe, and James turned to the sound of his voice, freezing in their place, before they bolted across the concrete. Sal let go of Bryony's hand, as he chased after them. Bryony laughed, turning to face the girls, as they stepped over to her.

"Everything's okay now, right?" Rachel asked her, as Bryony nodded her head.

"We're going to give things another go." She smiled.

"Just remember that if anything else happens again, we're here for you." Beth added. Bryony thanked her, when a mess of yells and shouts came from across the road.

"Looks like the boys are in trouble." Bessy chuckled, nodding her head in the direction of the four boys.

Bryony looked over to them, trying her best to hide her smile, as she witnessed a flustered Sal shouting at the three of them. He pushed at Brian's shoulder, his voice a consistency of anger and frustration.

"You're all idiots!" Sal spat, shoving at Brian repeatedly, as he held his hands up defensively.

"Sal, calm down man...it was just a joke." Brian replied, batting his hand away from him.

"Not a very funny one." Sal uttered, his eyebrows crossing in fury, as the rage writhed through his veins. "I almost lost her, you do realise that, right?"

"Well, judging by the way you kissed, I'm pretty sure that you didn't lose her." James shrugged, flinching, as Sal's gaze locked onto him, with a scowl playing on his features.

"Next time though, use a little more tongue, Bud." Joe teased, gaining a glower from the boy. Sal stepped towards him, bringing his forefinger to jab harshly at his chest, pushing Joe back slightly.

"You're lucky Bryony's over there so I don't go ape shit on you." Sal seethed, causing Joe to swallow hard. He gulped, nodding his head, feeling his whole body tremble, before Sal pulled away.

He cooled himself down, relieving the acrimony that he held for the three, soon stepping his way back over to Bryony, wrapping his arm around her shoulders. He placed a kiss to the side of her temple, hearing an audible aw come from the other girls. Leaning down so that his lips came in line with Bryony's ear, Sal whispered to her. "Let's get back home."

They bid their goodbyes to their friends, as Sal walked with Bryony hand in hand over to his car. He assisted her into the passenger's side, before making his way round to the driver's seat. After buckling himself in, Sal glanced over to the girl, admiring her in the darkness, as the moonlight bounced off of the windscreen, lighting up her face.

"Do you need to get your stuff from Brian's place?" Bryony asked, as Sal shook his head.

"It's all in the back. I didn't have much with me anyway." He answered, turning the key, as the engine started up. He let his hand rest at the top of the steering wheel, as he moved his free hand to her thigh. Sal trailed his eyes from her grey orbs, all the way down to her mouth, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips. Leaning across the car, Sal placed a lingering kiss against her lips, drawing Bryony in, before abruptly pulling away, leaving her craving for more. "You'll get more of that when we get home."

A smirk played on his features, as he pulled out of the parking space, and drove her home. No sooner had the front door closed behind them, were Sal's hands clasped at her waist, as he pressed Bryony up against the wall, kissing at her neck. He kicked his sneakers from his feet, before kneeling down, pulling the plimsolls off from her feet. Standing back up to his feet, Sal took Bryony's hand in his, leading her through their apartment, as he kicked the bedroom door closed behind them. He gently lowered her down onto the bed, situating himself on top of her, as his eyes studied everything about her. He couldn't help the dopey smile playing on his lips. Sal leant down, placing a kiss to her baby bump, as a sweet chuckle escaped him.

"Watch your head in there, little guy." He whispered, as he clambered back up, bringing his lips to caress with Bryony's slowly, reconnecting their souls together once more.
