The rain drowned out the screams of the undead from outside. There were a few zombies left from the horde you just fought off, but you decided to go look for some ammunition before you finished them off, so you wouldn't be caught short in another horde.

The whole apocalypse spread from corner to corner of the entire world in a flash, which meant you needed to adapt to your chaotic surroundings quickly. You couldn't really tell if it was lucky you were alive right now or nightmarish. Both? Yeah. Probably.

You gained access to lots of weapons in places that were abandoned due to the circumstances of the current situation. With the war going on, weapons were at the very summit, the demand of fire power was greater than before, so finding guns in bases was a breeze, as well as picking them off of the ground due to people who unfortunately didn't survive very long, but had weapons on them. But here you were, in the remains of what used to be Stalingrad, Russia. As if the war wasn't cataclysmic enough, now it's dystopia.

As far as you were concerned, you were the only person remaining in these desolate ruins. Every creak or vocal noise, you assumed, were just more of the undead. It became a habit, see something moving, shoot it, survive.

You exited the building you were in through the back door, keeping your gun trained on any little sound. You looked to your side and reacted quickly. Something in the corner of your eye moved. You shot just as it ducked behind the wall, missing it completely. You ran towards it, quickly slamming it on the wall ready to shoot. As your eyes adjusted to the sight, you realised it was a man. An alive. Man. Your features softened, but kept your guard up incase he was hostile.

"What's your name" You interrogated, studying his appearance. He had a goatee, wore a hat with goggles on it, and was heavily armed. He appeared to be wearing some kind of bullet proof vest, with blood all over it.

"Nikolai Belinski, *Девушка"

Before you could ask any further questions, you felt the barrel of a gun being pressed against your temple.

"Move away miss. We don't want any trouble."

You looked over at the sound of an american accent, releasing Nikolai and sheathing your gun.

You turned around to see 3 other men, all looking weary.

"I'll just be going then" You excused yourself, about to walk away before seeing a zombie run towards the 5 of you. The american shot it quickly, before many others emerged.

"I guess not" You sighed, pulling out your guns and battling alongside the 4 men you just met.

(Time skip: 2 weeks)

Needless to say, you stayed with them. All were extremely welcoming, except for Richtofen, who you learned was a bit messed up. Just...a bit. Unfortunately, you noticed how much you had an attraction to the Russian. You dug your feelings deep down however. You've had a history of heartbreak, and now of all times was not the time to let your feelings control you.

Horde after horde, you became exhausted. Your eyes felt heavy, your limbs were sore. All you needed was a minute of rest. You sat down in a corner, closed your eyes and fell asleep.

"Y/N. Vake up. Come on you've been asleep for nearly three hours."

You woke to the dreaded sound of Richtofen giving you a lecture.

You rubbed your eyes, a feeling of enervation relentlessly trying to drag you back to sleep. You felt a tug at your arms. Your vision focussed, seeing Nikolai trying to pull you up.

"C'mon прекрасный, get up."

There is was, that word. He keeps referring to you as it..
