"Hey, get up!" I heard Dani shout, then was struck in the head with a pillow.

"Dude, what the fuck?" I groaned tiredly, slowly sitting up.

"We gotta go, it's like, 11." Dani said, placing a hand on her hip.

"Fuck." I groaned and stood up to pour myself a cup of day old coffee. I put the cup in the microwave and disappeared down the hall to get dressed. The entire process of getting ready was over in about 10 minutes. Dani sat on the couch and watched me run from room to room as I quickly got ready. When finished, I grabbed my coffee from the microwave and put on my shoes, finishing the coffee before running out the door with Dani following.

"Text Gav and tell him we'll be there in 20." I told Dani as soon as we got in the car.

"Got it." She replied, pulling her phone out.

During the drive, Dani didn't speak a word. She sat quietly in her spot and texted people while I sped over to Gavin's house. When we got there, he was waiting outside.

"Hi!" Dani said, getting out of the passenger's side and sitting in the back so Gavin could sit next to me. I waved at Gavin and he smiled his greeting, and we were on our way.

When we made it to the fair, Dani quickly hopped out of the car and started running towards the gates, while Gavin and I took out time getting out, making sure we had everything. After I got out, Gavin walked over to me and gave me a hug.

"Hey," I smiled, returning the hug, "I missed you."

"I missed you, too." Gavin replied, squeezing me before releasing and holding out his hand. I stood there for a moment before realizing he wanted to hold my hand. I nervously sighed and took his hand as we walked up to the gates, trying to catch up with Dani.

Dani excitedly jumped up and down in place as she waited for us.

"What are we gonna do first?" She asked as soon as we got closer, still hopping up and down.

"Ride rides, of course!" Gavin smiled down at me, sending chills down my spine. Dani squealed excitedly and ran towards a roller coaster, Gavin and I followed.

"Oh God," I whispered nervously. "I hate roller coasters."

"Shh, it'll be okay." Gavin reassured me as we caught up with Dani and stood in line.

When it was time, we buckled ourselves into the ride. Dani sat in front while Gavin and I sat together somewhere in the middle. I bounced my leg nervously as the ride began to inch forward. Gavin noticed and placed his hand on my knee to prevent it from moving.

"Hey, it's gonna be okay." He smiled at me again, making my insides melt.

I smiled sheepishly and looked forward. After a few long minutes, the ride finally dropped. I felt a scream rise from my throat and out of my mouth. I haven't felt so rushed in a long time. I just let loose, and so did Gavin. I screamed in terror while he laughed in between screams as the ride dropped again. I grasped Gavin's hand in fear as the ride sped up. I started to feel myself smiling, and began to have fun. I let out a laugh and then another scream, still holding Gavin's hand. He looked over at me and let out a laugh as I released his hand and threw my arms up into the air as the ride dropped again. I slumped in the seat when the ride started slowing down, then abruptly stopped. I stayed there, trying to catch my breath as Gavin got out. He looked at me and smiled, then held out his hand. I grabbed his with mine and he pulled me out, then put his arm around my waist.

We walked over to a bench and waited for Dani to get off. She hopped onto the grass and threw her arms up into the air.

"Woo!" She shouted, jogging over to us.

"Did you have fun?" I asked, a smile stretching across my face.

"Yeah, you?" She continued smiling wide.

"As much as I hate to admit it, I did have fun." I chuckled.

"Good! You need to let loose." She replied as Gavin pulled me closer. Dani let out a very loud 'Awww'.

"Shut up." I joked.

"You guys are so cute!" She gushed.

"Yeah, well, you know." Gavin replied, cocking his head to the side and smiling.

"Yo, I'm hungry. Let's get something to eat." I suggested.

"Well, I'm gonna go on a few more rides. Later, nerds!" Dani called as she ran off. I chuckled as Gavin led me over to a hot dog stand.

As soon as I got my food, I scarfed it down.

"You always eat so fast!" Gavin mentioned.

"Shut up. I'll eat at whatever speed I find to be the most comfortable." I giggled.

Gavin looked past me for a moment, then spoke up.

"What's that stand over there?" He asked.

"Oh, that's like, a T-shirt spray paint booth thing." I shrugged, gnawing at the last part of my hot dog.

"Let me get you a shirt." He smiled.

"Oh, no, it's okay."

"No, come on!" He quickly said, then grabbed my hand and pulled me along over to the booth.

"What do you want on it?" He asked me.

I shrugged. Gavin gave me a knowing smile and said, "Wait here." as he walked closer to the booth. I obeyed and stayed in my spot. After a few minutes, he returned with a shirt that said 'Miss Responsible.' In blue and purple letters. I rolled my eyes.

"Did Dani tell you?" I groaned.

"She sure did." He smiled wide and handed me the shirt. I shook my head and turned it around, looking at the back.

"Will you be my girlfriend?" I read it outloud and quietly gasped.

"..Gavin..." I started, he pulled me close and looked down on me, smiling.

"So...?" He whispered.

"Yes." I grinned as he pulled me into a kiss. When he released me, I put the shirt on and backed up, posing.

"Does this shirt make me look fat?" I joked.

"Totally. Good thing I'm into chubby girls." Gavin winked at me, making me smile.
